This place is a nightmare. In the almost two years me and my fiance spent living there I had constant asthma attacks and was back and forth from the hospital, we discovered later on that our water heater was supposed to be replaced, I noticed that it was causing mold to build up around it and everything else, including the toilet, ect. This was disgusting and most likely the cause for all my hospital visits, I really wish I had the funds at the time to lawyer up because they practically refused to replace it. We had a literal inspector tell maintenance that the water heater was violating health codes and it needed to be changed, they did not care and never changed it. The sound proofing was negative so we constantly heard what sounded like a live version of WWE going on upstairs and when we'd complain, wouldn't you guess... They did absolutely nothing. The hallways smell like cigarettes, a S.W.A.T team showed up for our neighbors, and when we went to move they literally planned this, so, the trash area that was constantly filled with furniture from the tenants, when we left we had to leave some stuff behind but the day we moved someone was patrolling on purpose to take note that it was us so they could bleed us for more money, as though they do this to anyone else. Absolutely disgusting ownership, low-life, slum-lords. Don't even consider moving here, it's not worth your health.

So I've been trying to get my garbage disposal and kitchen light fixed since Tuesday. My sink doesnt work at all and my kitchen light is out I've told them multiple times and it's still not fixed and its Friday! They say it should be fixed today but the maintenance guy was outside picking up garbage instead of fixing stuff in my apartment. Its ridiculous I dont care how "busy" you are I'm a tenant and pay rent I deserve to get stuff fixed in my apartment especially when I cant even use my kitchen. We need new management they literally do nothing all day. I'll keep on writing reviews until something changes.

If I could give 0 I would. The new management is a joke. Nothing ever got fixed here. They don't always give 48 hour notice of entry. They claim they're cleaning it up but tell that to the people doing drugs in the laundry rooms. There are people who live across the street in trucks selling "bikes" (drugs). People have tagged the buildings with gang stuff. They got rid of the security (very necessary living there) and claimed more cops patrolled. The only time I saw cops was when something sketchy would go down. My car got broken into here and they did nothing. Don't rent, all they want is your money for less than fine management and a "cleaner" living space.

We have lived here almost a year now and we were initially thrilled when we found the place. It is a low income community so we figured we may have some issues with the surrounding area or neighbors, etc. For the first 8 months of living here we loved it. They have an awesome space to take your dog out, are very pet friendly, and the apartment we moved into was clean and semi-updated compared to many apartments we looked at. The maintenance guys are great; all super friendly and willing to help anytime. Even our dog loves them. The only complaints we've had other than the one I'm about to mention is that our packages always seem to get delivered to the office without a notice on our door. I had a book for school sitting at the office for over three weeks and never was let know that it was there. Also, they told us we needed to be prepared for an annual inspection from 1-5pm a few weeks ago so we planned our entire day around staying home with our dog when they came and visited (our dog will freak out if strange people are in the house without us.) and they never showed up, never let us know that they weren't going to be coming, never rescheduled, and never returned my phone call asking what was up and if they were planning on coming a different day. However, management is an entirely different ballpark. The managers of these apartments seemed genuine and nice at first and for the most part I'm sure they are outside of work. About 3 months ago we had our perfectly quiet respectable neighbors next door move out and a new family move in. There are 4 children that have got to be under age 10 and two adults living in this 1 bedroom apartment. We have had to call the non-emergency police about them 4 or 5 times because of the kids being left alone at home after midnight, and every single time they don't answer the door and ignore the police. There is CONSTANT noise from about 3pm to 2am that sounds like they are running up and down the stairs chasing each other, and when that's not going on it's incessant loud banging noises. During the day they also like to run up and down the enclosed hall of our building. Oh, and on top of that the kids stole our door knocker and placed it on the opposite neighbors door twice. We've had to bring it inside. Who does that? We figured that since the neighbors weren't answering the door for police, maybe we could get management to talk to them. Wrong. We called and left a couple of messages and never heard back from Diana the manager. So we went in to the office finally after about 3 weeks of this going on and she said "we'll look into it, thanks!" Another 3 weeks go byy without any resolution, so we call corporate. It seemed to be a bit quieter for a few days and then it started up again. So we went back to Diana and asked her what was being done. She replied that after we called corporate they did an "inspection" of the house and found only the one guy living there. She told us he was the only person on the lease so that was "weird" but there seemed to be no children living there. We asked her politely to please check it out one more time. A few more weeks pass and nothing has been done so my boyfriend decided to call corporate AGAIN. He asked them to please call us back to let us know what they were planning on doing to fix this and we never got a call back. This was a week ago. Obviously these apartments don't care about their tenants. Thank God our lease is up in April, we will hopefully be able to move. It's unfortunate because we love the layout and the small backyard etc. If Ventana would rather lose out on good, clean tenants who pay rent on time every single month and don't cause any damage to the property, or acquire any noise complaints in order to house 6 people who didn't even sign the lease, good on them, but that's a terrible way to do business.

You should be able to find the number in the common hallway where the mailboxes are; on the bulliten board!
I'm sorry we are not hiring at this time at Ventana, but please take a moment and go to the Avenue5 Residential page and see what other great opportunities we have in the area.
