me myself
Applied around 2017 0r 2018 as a nonresident Moved to Sheboygan in 2018 and they removed me to “second” in line. When it was time for a review I was sent a letter stating that I don’t pay my bills according to a credit report. I was taken completely off the list without my knowledge. I found out when I called to checkup on my number. I reapplied in 2020. I was not in the city of Sheboygan but in the county and it counts as out of jurisdiction so a 2 year waiting period. I waited and called randomly to check on it. I called in January 2022 to check on it cause it was near the time and was told I wasn’t on the list that they mailed me a letter to inform me I needed to respond back but I never received a letter despite them having my email and phone number because I called periodically and emailed. Needless to say I was removed once again I reapplied recently for another 2 year wait but I am not sticking around for it. I just wanted to let everyone know how it is. I would say who it was but I am classy enough to know better. I was denied public housing because “I don’t pay my bills” according to the credit report they ran. I k ow for a fact they don’t like people moving into this state from other places. Good luck everyone also, the black mold and humidity in the places are atrocious. They pocket the money and don’t do repairs they hire volunteers and they blame the tenants for the building falling apart.

Went to this housing authority begging for help when I was homeless & was turned away. I have sat on waiting list for 2 years when I now have a regular income, no criminal background, and a 3 year old child. If you're a single Mom trying to get your life together, move out of Sheboygan because they make every excuse in the book to not help you

A tenant implies it is a rental situation, in that case the property owner is responsible for all costs for the maintenance and upkeep of the property. That being said, commercial grade carpet can last 5-10 years. If the carpet is damaged by the tenant, it may be up to the tenant to either replace it (with the owners concent) or pay the owner the cost to have to replace. As for your renew question. If I understand your question, upon not renewing a contact, you, unless stated in your contract have until the end of that contract. Meaning if your contract renews in July, and you dont want to stay, you have until July to leave. In most cases owners are willing to provide you with a month to month agreement until you can move. If you are leasing, this is different then renting as in you may be responsibly for repairs, depending on how the contract is written.
There is a waiting list. Just have to be patient.
