If you don't do whole blood donations on Sunday you should put that on your website so people don't waste their time. I just came back to try to donate and was turned down after waiting for an hour was told by the guy with tattoos that he could not pull blood out of me. Well I have donated a lot of times by very skilled people. Complete waste of time. This would be the fourth and last time I ever come here. I may as well go and get paid for my donation for this kind of hassle. Don't waste your time here. No talant at vitalant.

I never been so easily stuck with a 16 gauge needle and barely feel it. Thank you Kelly for a wonderful experience.

Hello. Thank you for letting me know. It's my understanding they are supposed to tell you. I will forward your comments to the director who oversees center operations and let her know. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. brad Grace, because you posted your question as an answer to Priscilla's, I can't answer directly. Our phone was out of order for about an hour today, but it is fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience. Brad
I had the same problem. For me it was because the email address they had on file had a typo in it and I corrected that when I was donating blood the next time.
Hi there. I am a fellow donor. Short answer is Yes/No. Yes, you can donate plasma at this center, but United Blood Services is a nonprofit, and donations are strictly that--donations. Outside of perks and goodies that are sometimes awarded to donors, there is no compensation.
Hi Hugh - you're more than welcome to call our Donor Center at 877-25-VITAL and talk to one of our specialists. You can also review the list of medications (https://vitalant.org/BS_351M) advised against donating blood. Warfarin as a blood thinner is unfortunately on that list, which means you could be at risk if you donated blood. We thank you for your interest and encourage you to stay healthy! Very best, Fernando @ Vitalant
Hello. No. We do not pay for plasma donations as it is again federal law since the blood we get is sent to hospitals for transfusions to patients. There are plasma centers that pay you, then sell the plasma to companies that manufacture things like pharmaceuticals. If you would like to make a donation to help save the lives of hospital patients, you may make an appointment at www.Vitalant.org. Thank you.
Yes they will tell you sometime after your donation is complete.
Yes you can donate plasma but not for money.
