Such a fun experience, especially in a larger group! We did the 7pm trip out and the weather/ timing was perfect. Not too hot or cold and Seattle during sunset is just gorgeous. Easy to access lake union from the boat then get back in to heat up and relax! Highly recommend!

This was a prime Seattle experience. Very friendly staff. It's a small operation, but they do it well. The boats are safe, and the wood fire makes it smell great. We had no issues with keeping our water hot. The provided phone protectors still allowed me to take a some great pictures. The boats even have a ladder to get back in if you want to take a dip in the lake. We went with 6 and had a blast.

This hot tub boat experience was wonderful! We went to celebrate my friends birthday. They had supplied ice for our drinks and snacks for the boat. The smell of the wood fire was an awesome addition to the experience. It also allowed us to increase water temp or decrease. There’s a warm, changing room and a box to lock our items. They had a Bluetooth speaker on the boat and had lanyards dry bags to keep any electronics dry. They even supplied us with towels for after! We could have stayed on the water for hours and the view of the city was amazing! I will definitely be using this company again!

I booked Lake Union Hot Tub Boats for my birthday. It was so much fun! The water stayed hot due to the wood burning stove that heats the water. Even though it was in the low 40s outside of the boat, inside was nice and toasty. The bluetooth speaker provided was great and they can provide ice in the boat's ice chest for an additional charge. The tub is deep and there's plenty of room for a large party. It was only me and my husband, so we just swam around the tub as a joke. The boat was simple to drive even though we steered with a tiller to guide the rudder below the water. Would definitely recommend going in the winter. There's no crowd and the water is super calm with no waves, unlike the chaotic summer. Lake Union can get crazy when the weather is warmer. If you can, take a chance and experience this cool boat in Seattle.

Yes!
Ryan, Thanks for reaching out to us! We only have one size of boat that fits 6 people or fewer. You are able to rent two boats at a single time if you group is between 7 to 12 people.
The water is comfortable, and because it's a wood stove there's a decent amount of control over the heat. The lake is freezing, but there is a ladder attached to the hot tubs that you can get back into the hot tub from the lake. My brother and I both jumped in. This was in January.
We set the boat temperature around 102-104 degrees. The stove will maintain that temperature and can increase it slightly to the customer's preference. The max capacity of our boats is 6 or fewer people, so small groups that are usually in the same household rent our boats. The staff here is fully vaccinated, we do ask everyone to wear mask, but once a group is in a boat, they are outside and are allowed to remove their masks.
But of course! We are big fans of water (can you tell?!) and swimming is allowed and encouraged. There's a ladder in the back of the boat for easy access back into the boat.
Yes we do! We have a changing room just steps away from the hot tub boat. And there are marina restrooms available for use as well!
Why yes, we do! :) We provide a fresh towel for every customer. Folded to perfection, ready and waiting in our toasty changing room!
Yes! Lake Union Hot Tub Boats is open year-round and the water keeps you nice and warm even when it's cold and rainy out!
You don't need a boat license and no is fairly easy you just need to get the hang out if!
Yep - alcoholic beverages are permitted on board. Things in plastic or cans are preferred as glass and boats tend to not mix well!
