the woman my partner dealt with today while trying to get her license was extremely unprofessional and combative. to the point she misspelled our address horribly on the license. she even told us that since we moved it’s not her problem. well then what is her job? this happened around 1:30pm to 2:30 on November 8th. I will be following up with a supervisor tomorrow to report her behavior. I expected better from a employee of the city.

They lost my personal delivered documents twice. Brought third time and explained that my project delays 1 year already because they keep losing paperwork. They just told me that they are not responsible for it and don't care.They asked me to shut up. This is the worst customer service that I paid for and been treated like a trash. Why those people still work here???? If you are too busy and can't approve permits for one single home in 2 years...than hire more people or work overtime as most people do!!!!!!!

the office is open on new year's eve, but you can also renew on filelocal-wa.gov if you know your license/ customer number. of course, it also depends on the type of license... you'll need to come in if you're a taxi driver or an entertainer.
As long as you are not charging anyone or selling anything, you do not need a business license to play a guitar in public in Seattle. You might consider checking in with Seattle Department of Transportation and/or the Department of Parks and Recreation. Those departments may have regulations related to busking in Seattle.
