I was pretty nervous about my visit after reading all the bad reviews. However I had a very positive experience at this location. I went there with a 1 pm appointment. I reached 15 min prior to my time. The guy at welcome desk was courteous. He asked about the appointment and promptly assigned an officer. The officer who worked with us was very helpful, explained everything in relation to our visit and what to expect next. We were out of the building within 10 minutes.

I received great service from a representative (“Ms. M.”) who helped me with a tax return for a deceased family member. She was empathetic, capable and diligent. She managed to release the return for processing after it had been held up for months pending ID verification that I was not able to do using the IRS website or phone service. Thanks!

Had a wonderful experience talking to a lady on the phone here. She was very courteous, professional, and helpful. In the end she resolved my concerns so I didn’t have to pay a visit in person. Government employees are people too. Just be respectful to them and you should get the same good treatment.

Yes there is a parking garage and there's parking on the street
Depends on what you need help with. You need to dispute or help with amending a return. Yes. General help, no. Dropping off a paper return and you want a receipt, no. Help preparing your return, yes.
You don't. First come, first served. Unless you're being audited.
No walk ins. Security guard won't not even let me in the lobby of the building. Called the number several times, it drops the call everytime. No help at all.
Send them a tab for being later than your resulting losses.
No.
Yes. You will go through a screening process. Like at the airport. Don't bring any weapons.
Payment information downtown
If ypu signed the forms, then you are entilted to get a copy of them for that tax year, if by chance he filled a married filing separately return them you may have to have them subpoenaed, but remember a any thing you signed was a declaration that the return was factual and correct., If he cheated on the tax return or his income then you both would be guilty of tax fraud
Irs.gov might help
I had similar problems and decided to just drop by. They said they have appointments available for you if you want to visit. You will need to call in the evening post 5pm to get it to work. The east coast and central times would have closed by then. They said they work PST so you will get a response. Haven't had the need to try it. I would say give it a try.
Transcript can be requested and depending on the number called certain information can't be discussed unless you are there in person to review with them
Im not sure but if you live in Seattle the office is open for walk in just go visit and they will assist you.
I believe it is by appointment only. Should be easy to do though. I was there a couple of weeks ago and the place was empty.
I need to reschedule my appt and cannot contact by phone or text. Any suggestions
I mailed my form 1040 to the IRS Ogden Utah address on February 1 because I was suppose to ge a refund of $4,860. I go on the IRS web site and enter the info requested by the IRS---Where's my refund? I get no response to the dat I enter i. Do I send another filled out 1040 to the IRS? William C Mathews
Most definitely
Yes, but ultimately you may be better off calling in such information. At the time of writing this response, it is becoming a better option to call due to the whole needing an appointment to go in, anyhow.
Thank you so much i didn't know they have another number for appointment only but i found it Thank u it really help me
