The general manager Bill is great. Lanell at the front desk is great. Marilyn, the director of housekeeping is great.. They are the glue keeping the Holiday Inn Downtown together. Saturday and Sunday they offer a breakfast buffet for 13.95 open to the guest and public. I believe it's a good deal for all. Once they figure out their bar and restaurant potential, they will be able to offer a great happy hour and general dining experience.

My cousin booked this hotel for her wedding. The day started with the hotel not having basically anything done for the reception. The first room they put us in, the temp wouldn’t go below 74 degrees and the bathroom sink was clogged. The reception desk was very kind; and moved us to a separate room; that room wouldn’t go below 70 degrees but that was better I guess? Also at some point during the night apparently someone broke into the hotel and broke into a vacant room that was down for maintenance? The floors definitely aren’t cleaned and they are stained. Overall; I honestly could have probably gotten a nicer room at a different hotel for the price I spent. Also, apparently breakfast wasn’t included in the price spent on the rooms? And they wanted an additional 15 dollars for a sad looking “continental” breakfast. I have stayed in many IHG hotels before but this one by far is the absolute worst and I will not be back.

I have no idea how this hotel even has a decent rating. The hotel was dirty, we had to be switched to multiple rooms just for one to be properly cleaned and for the room keys to work after multiple trips back down to the front desk. The room we finally ended up in was still not fully cleaned and extremely outdated. There were stains on all bedding and towels and was hair all over the bathtub from someone shaving. The elevator didn’t work which according to the other reviews, it seems like it hasn’t worked in a very long time. The staff also told us, we couldn’t use the stairs? Our room was missing a TV remote, the phone didn’t work and the air conditioning didn’t work. In the morning, housekeeping knocked on our door and asked when we were leaving. It was 9am and check out wasn’t until 11. The parking garage looks like it’s ready to collapse at any time. Antonio at the front desk was the only good part of our stay. He was friendly and accommodating. Will never stay here again, even after renovations.

No air conditioning. Staff knew prior to our check in that it didn’t work. Didn’t warn us. Was 80 degrees in the room all weekend. No fan, No soap, laughed at when asked for some. Only one elevator worked on one of their busiest events. At check out was lied to about general manager not being in and refused to give us compensation for our horrible stay, then a “sales manager” appeared, offered 25% off. We were on the hook for 140 a night when their daily rate is 70. We said we wanted the daily rate and after talking to the sales manager was told the general manager was on a conference call and would be out to talk to us. An hour later manager showed up and offered 30% off even though they provided none of the amenities they advertise. We wanted the daily rate he said not happening and told us to never come back. I have stayed there 60 nights over the last decade. Have many happy memories there but i will not be returning. The new management is awful and has destroyed this hotel. I don’t recommend anyone stay here anymore. By the way, Michael, the general manager who responded to this review is the one who told me to my face to never come back.
