Got a ton of help today from J... Actually she was pulling double duty between two locations, Belltown and Queen Anne, because one of her co workers was out sick. Super happy to get such great service. She is the best!

AVA Queen Anne is a pretty good choice in Seattle. The apartments run bigger than in other neighborhoods, and its location is great. Close enough to fun things in the city while being right on the Puget Sound and Myrtle Edwards park. I have a unit with a view of the sound, which is amazing to have in the mornings and around sunset. Even if your unit doesn't have a view, the rooftop will give you all that and more. The management is good and responsive. Folks who do maintenance for the building are second to none. You have a problem? Simply report it and someone will work to get it right, 100% of the time. It's seriously impressive—good crew. Common facilities are also pretty good. There's a gym with nearly all the equipment you'd want and the rooftop has a couple amenities that work well for hosting parties or just having a nice evening. The units don't have air conditioning, so you'll want to bring a portable unit or two, depending on what you want to cool and the specific layout of your apartment. This is an unfortunate disadvantage of the building. The common areas and hallways are all air conditioned; tell me why the units couldn't have been as well? Other than that, I have no problems with my unit. It's spacious and doesn't feel cheap. I'm not picky when it comes to design and decor, so it works well for me. As is the case in most of Seattle, there are some petty crime security threats. AVA QA and its residents also fall victim. The bike room, storage lockers, lobby (packages), and garages have been breached several times in the past year. To the management's credit, they transparently communicate the incidents and do try to take steps toward securing the building. The first garage cage will be 24/7 closed later this month, a package room was constructed so that package theft is reduced from the lobby, and there is more frequent patrolling by a guard. I think camera counts were increased too. I don't think petty crime can be made zero with these steps, but it's a step in the right direction. Besides, if you live in Seattle, just don't rely on common storage areas, bike rooms, and never leave a thing in sight in your car. You'll probably be okay. Overall, good experience. Would live here again.

I am posting publicly in the hope it will help someone else. I've lived at AVA since November 2021. Within a month of moving in, my dad's car was broken into (in the guest parking) in broad daylight on a Saturday afternoon. AVA management said that the security cameras in the garage could not pick up on what happened. I thought this might be a one-off, so I let it go. Then I found another car broken into this past Saturday, and on further investigation, I discovered that car break-ins have been happening frequently at AVA, even in the secured parking area. (Four in a day over the weekend). Numerous tenants shared their experiences and photographs of cars broken into. AVA did not rectify the issue or address our safety concerns; they just said to call 911 (which does not really help us, nor prevent future crime). AVA has thus far refused to implement basic security measures like a security attendant in the garage, or comprehensive camera footage. We pay really high rent here, and they won't take any accountability for security or safety. Furthermore, when I raised these safety concerns in our community Facebook group, I was accused of violating the group's guidelines by management. I was then removed from the group and my post and other people's comments on prior posts were deleted. This is outrageous, unacceptable, and I'm attempting to bring AVA to account. In the meantime, if you care about safety, security, and management, I'd advise you not to live here.
