I had been living at Koi for two years and my living experience was pretty good, except there were a number of false fire alarms in the middle of the nights. However, I was really disappointed and frustrated after I moved out. What happened is miscommunication at the leasing office. My lease ended on Feb 7th and I decided to extend my lease by a month. I wasn't sure if I paid month-to-month rent, my official move out date would be the last day of Feb or Mar 7th. I confirmed with the leasing office TWICE that my official move out date was Mar 7th without any additional payment, which they confirmed with me that's correct. Two weeks after I moved out, they sent me the move out fee and said I need to pay for Mar 1-7. I was really confused since this contradicted what they said before I moved out. I immediately asked them and attached the screenshots of our previous email thread. They replied to me and said "The system doesn't post your rent until Mar 1st." and also assumed I knew I needed to pay for March 1-7. First of all, they told me TWO WEEKS after Mar 1st, they should have checked earlier and let me know if there was any additional fee incurred. Secondly, if I knew that I needed to pay for Mar 1-7, I would have moved out by the end of Feb without paying ~$420 (rent and parking). After several back-and-forth emails, they acknowledged the miscommunication on their ends and took out my parking for Mar 1-7 and the cleaning fee but didn't take out my rent for Mar 1-7. I appreciate their understanding but just wanted to share with everyone about my experience. If you don't want to go through what I went through, perhaps it's not a bad idea to look for other places to live.

Stood up for a tour. Drove all the way over there, stood up with no response. Call an hour later, Raul, was extremely rude and said “be there soon and I can do it.” Zero apology with absolutely abhorrent customer service. Clearly Greystar buildings are garbage (google about the guy who died and they didn’t find for weeks), but I couldn’t in good conscience proceed with staying somewhere I was treated so poorly. Do better. Edit: and a canned copy and paste response instead of any concrete action on how to solve their issues. Unsurprising. Renter beware.

Full disclosure, I do not live here. However, my first impression made me sure that I did not want to. After setting up a tour earlier this week, I arrived at my tour time to an empty office and a be back later sign that had their opening time for the next day. I called and emailed the office, neither method received a response. I called back an hour later and Raul answered the phone. I asked if we could still tour the building. He muttered something about an upcoming tour (no apologies for missing our tour) and said we could come if we were there in 10 minutes. We decided to ghost him as he he did to us and not go back for a tour. If they're this unprofessional to potential renters I can't imagine how much worse they are once you move in.

Great staff and service. Only bad thing is the small parking spaces in the garage. Been here a little over a year and rent has not gone up for me. Also you have to be sure to answer your phone over the intercom anytime you have a delivery scheduled after office hours.
