Where the Stingray Boat manufacturing Facility is located today, is where I lived from 1954 to 1959 with my Father, mother & three siblings, we share cropped a farm for the Mayor of Hartsville S C , Robert (Bob )White, he gave me a nice gift when I graduated BUTLER HIGH SCHOOL 1958. I have fond memories of that location. Johnny E Arthur, resides in Norfolk Virginia 04/14/2022

We ordered a boat from Stingray in January of 2021 and were told it would arrive to us in March of 2021, 10 weeks to be exact. When March rolled around we received no communication from the Marina we ordered it or from Stingray the manufacturer. When we called they of course said they were having delays due to Covid. This went on for months back and forth with the dealer…with little to no communication. We attempted to call Stingray with no call back. The marina kept telling us that it was a manufacturing delay. I asked that they at least communicate with us weekly on the status of our boat. We maybe got communication from them once a month. Boat came into the manufacturer in August…they promised it to us by Aug 16….you would assume it would come and we could take it home??? Right???? No it came with NO MOTOR and the answer was Stingray had no idea when the motor would come in. Terrible experience, and we lost thousands of dollars on storing a boat we never received. Buyers BEWARE, if you have issues they will not communicate with you whatsoever. They kept telling us to talk to the Marina who also was obviously getting no communication from them. Honestly, they act like a coming who is going bankrupt…I have never in my life dealt with a company this negligent.

Great product and great people. With the delays this year for Covid making it hard to keep on schedule I tip my hat to Stingray for actually being willing to field calls from customers and give them specific updates on their vessel. Really quality, especially with most dealers being swamped by many delayed products. I couldn’t be happier with the product nor could I be happier with the company. I’ll be a Stingray man for life.

Questions & Answers

I bought a new 235LR last year and it's a nightmare trying to put fuel in. It spits gas out after about 2 gallons, and I'm not even sure it's venting. Either the fuel line runs too flat and it holds gas or the vent isn't working, or both. NEED HELP!

Have you talked to your STINGRAY dealer? They should be able to assist you in resolving the issue. If they are unable to, they can contact our warranty department for assistance.

I have a 2005 DR 220 deck boat. The Volvo Penta power steering actuator is leaking which is behind the motor (Gxi 5.0). Does the engine need to pulled to replace the actuator? If so, how is it done given the limited opening in fiberglass?

Hi Joe. I checked with one of our tech guys and this is what they tell me... You should not have to remove the engine for a steering actuator removal. The backrest above the engine has a removable panel that allows access to the backside of the engine components. I hope that helps. Have a great day!

I have been following the instructions to replace the info of my old Stingray boat with the info of my new Stingray boat... I have the new login and pw. The next step is to contact Stingray.... but there is no link ANYWHERE I can find to do that!

Hi Ed. I sent a reply to your Facebook message. The method to switch over was changed, but it appears they forgot to update the instruction post in the forum.

The 195RX was an entry-level boat. It did not come equipped with an hour meter.
