Someone started a large fire and it burned my unit down... with my cat inside. Management can't find her body. My unit is completely collapsed. I nearly died here. Please stay away. Extreme fire hazards. I experienced being 2 doors down from a fire that destroyed 63 units. The fire alarm didn't go off until it was a life or death situation. Keep your family safe. Don't let them die in Madison Apartments like Trixy did...

It's a rent controlled building set up for people on public housing assistance. It's mainly a older, childless, type of community, lots of singles and people just getting themselves up and together. It's an ok place but you probably don't want to raise kids here. Very convenient to bus routes 12 and 60. Ten minutes from Downtown or Capital Hill.

Rodent problem & they say there is nothing they can do besides set traps and put the Brillo pads in holes... If I would’ve known this while walking my apartment, I would’ve never moved in. To say the least I have a baby on the way. Trying to get out of this contract!! I wouldn’t have moved here, find somewhere that doesn’t have a rodent issue!

I used to live here and still have friends in the building, there are always druggies and people with mental illness wandering around the hallways, packages get stolen, there is NEVER anyone in the office, they change keys for the storage room but don't tell the residents who are PAYING for storage units. There is a perpetual bed bug problem because so many of the residents drag in trash and drug people. The Elevator breaks down all the time. There is NO PARKING at all. Maintenance is laughable...they never ever fix ANYTHING in a reasonable amount of time, forget about the LEGAL time frame. DO NOT RENT HERE EVEN WITH SUBSIDY IT IS NOT WORTH THE AMOUNT OF TROUBLE YOU WILL HAVE!!!!
