The Showbox is an intimate venue at the top of my list. The historic significance is utterly impressive, as is the atmosphere. This venue does have limited seating, however, I did not find it to be an issue for the three and a half hours we were there. The acoustics were superb, the refreshment availability was welcome and the food offerings were tasty. I welcome the next show that will bring me back.

This is by far my favorite venue to see live music in the Seattle area. It's an intimate setting and whether you are standing on the main floor or sitting at a table, there isn't a bad spot for viewing.
Sunshine Kingdom
Fun smaller venue, Good sound, Pretty lights, Respectful Staff, $5 coat check, still requiring folks to wear masks as of 3/18/22, The $5 parking in the Market parking garage (check the hours) is SO CLOSE, so parking for this venue is a breeze. I docked 1 star because drinks are expensive and not that great, but I'm sure it's up to Seattle Concert Standards. ;) If you do enjoy spending money on booze: Don't forget there's also bar at the front of the venue if the one in back is too busy Keep in mind this is a small venue, so it gets PACKED, sometimes body to body. :) Have fun
Limitless
The line wasn't long, they did a good job checking everyone's ID and vaccination card. Also handed out masks inside to people who didn't wear any. The restrooms are in good shape, but they should've checked more often to restock soap and toilet papers. Courteous and reasonable security guards, bartenders are efficient, and parking attendants are very nice and informative.

Just do it. No flash. I was at K.Flay, and took pics and video with no issues.
Showbox Market? Head uphill to 1st and hang a Left! Showbox will be on the Right(East) side of the street as you head up 1st towards the Market.
SAVE OUR SHOWBOX THEATER!! SEATTLE LOVE ITS SHOWBOX!
Check their site and or Facebook page
Get a table if you want to sit down - usually 50 for a 2 top and 100 for a 4. You still have a really good view of the stage.
We were there on Valentine's Day to see LP and our reserved table had our own server.
The smoking area is outside of the venue and you must be 21+in order to re-enter.
There is never reserved seating and it will say so on tickets or venue info if there is for the event, the only seating that you can reserve is in VIP, there are at least 2 vip sections one on either side of room, everything else is a first-come-first-serve stand there and hold it basis. If you want a table with a really good view in the front you should get there pretty close to when doors open or at least an hour after
It will say on the website...this one is all ages.
Tickets are available at the door, if there are any remaining.
Vance Joy played The Showbox Market on Saturday 9/30/2017. Here's the link: https://www.thestranger.com/events/25380117/vance-joy
They have cleared it up alot since the pandemic "ended". Almost back to its chill normal
Just attended a show May 25 and no negative test was required.
The venue no longer requires it. However if the artist playing requests vax checks or masks we do require or for that event.
Vax cards are out and masks will be gone soon too!
I couldn't find a number either but I found a email on their site but didn't get a reply on time but how it worked was you show up early and they give you a bracelet for vip and after thw show they have you like up to meet and greet my show was at 8 we went in at 7
Bags are allowed, but are searched.
Depending on show I would think yes. I went to Zedd at showbox sodo when I was 12 so i dont think market would be any different
Seems so.
Go to the box office with your ID. They'll help you out.
Nope. They reprieved it. The showbox is a legend. It aint going nowhere.
It's not a club but depending on the show they normally close at 2am. If it's an all ages show it will close earlier.
Its cheaper to go to their box office versus buying online.
It also depends on whether it's a concert and how popular the person/show is. Rule of thumb that I go by: arrive early (1-2 hr) if their very popular, arrive a little earlier if you want to see the opening act as well (for concerts). That said it's not that big of a venue, so you could probably get away with coming a little later.
It depends on the show. You'll have to look at the event info
Try reaching out via social media
Local bands have performed there, but you will need to get approved by the booking agent.
One time when I was there it was standing only unless you pay extra for to have a seat in the VIP. The second time I was there it was a sold-out show and they did have some seats but I would get there super early VIP get let in first. I saw a guy in a wheelchair and they let him sit up by the VIPs. So if it's possible for you to bring your chair I would bring it they have ramps for you to get all the way up to where the show is
Its jus a standard backpack,Thanks for the info!
It depends on the day. Weekdays street parking normally isn't bad. Weekends lots are going to be at capacity. There is one right next door. Get there early and be prepared to pay high prices for lot parking
Send your friend the ticket unless you are entering together
Table for 4, they are pretty strict on that one
No they will take them away. You have to get a bar stamp ans go outside
Yes, they have you open your bag/purse at the door and will look in the bag and then put it through the metal detector. The only thing they haven’t let me bring in is open water bottles.
Who was the first one? Just 3 initials thanks
Whomever you go them from should tell you what to do. I would reach out to them(the people associated with the contest, not The Showbox) if they didn't clarify.
If you rolled in there seated in a wheelchair, however....probably yes.
They usually scan them on phones. Not the worst idea to have a printed copy since there's sometimes difficulty getting phones to scan properly.
They had chicken fingers & fries the night we were there. And you are correct to go early get some finger food, Good beer and a stool before they are are full.
No it isnt. The majority is all ages. But there is a designated drinking area for 21 and above. But the Showbox is closing down! Sad
