Questions & Answers

Hello my son 'Clay Flippen' is in Denton County for first time felony charges on destruction of property and a violation of dwi probation. How much money would you need down to get started and will you let him or us pay the remainder out after over?

My fee for representation will have to paid in full before the case or cases are finalized. In what County is the DWI case?

What is the first step when I have been accused of a crime?

While it is tempting to reply, "hire me," that is not always the first step. If you have been arrested or know you soon will be, you need to arrange for bond. Posting bond is what gets you back out of jail when you are arrested. If a bond is set, you can either arrange to post the bond amount in cash or you can pay a bonding company a percentage of the bond amount to post the bond for you. If you do not miss a court setting, you will get your cash back when the case is disposed. You will be released from bond at the end of the case but, the bonding company keeps the fee you pay them. If no bond has been set, then you hire me to get a bond set for you so, you can post it and go home. Once you have secured your release from jail, you should retain a lawyer. The sooner you hire an attorney, the more things they will be able to do in your defense. Make sure it is an attorney who's primary office is in the County where the charges are pending.
