A fun Museum! I loved the sections dedicated to Native Americans of western Washington, Klondike gold rush, the parts that contained interactive explanations of the (Ballard) locks and finally the 360 submarine telescope on the 4th floor! The terrace view from the 3rd floor was super gorgeous! I visited for the Ansel Adams exhibition and really loved it!

Fantastic place to experience the good, the bad, and the ugly bits of Seattle's history in the colonization of the American West through to modern times. Interactive exhibits throughout are fun for adults and children alike. Rotating gallery exhibits change on a somewhat regular basis as well.

Big airy space full of tech tidbits. Went to the Ansel Adams exhibit and enjoyed the local curators chosen commentary photos too. Little tastes of grunge history and amusing lost Microsoft products. Baseball geeks might find the pages from Dave Neihouse's 2008 score book a fun peak at the late great announcer. 3 dollar bill theater shorts were a fun little Pride month treat.

Love this place. Very well done displays, friendly staff and lots of open space to spread out or let the kids run a little bit. The history of Seattle and the northwest is very well documented with pictures and examples. When I was there they had a fantastic Ansel Adams special exhibit that was very well put together. The park area outside surrounding the museum as well as the lake and the center for wooden boats makes for a very enjoyable multi faceted visit.

Maybe! It depends whats in them. I'd suggesting calling them directly.
Go to a USPS office

Haven't heard BUT that would be an awesome addition
Great question! We are able to offer visitors a special $10 all-day parking rate at the AGC lot located at 1200 Westlake Ave N. Ask at the museum admission desk during your visit and they will provide a ticket. There are also public parking lots along Westlake Avenue and Valley Street, which vary in pricing depending on the time of day. Accessible parking and drop-off for visitors with special needs is available at the museum. More information, including a map, can be found on the Visit page of our website: https://mohai.org/visit/
We had to pay to be able to go eat in the restaurant.
Thanks for asking! MOHAI does not have the Richard Beyer sculpture, which was commissioned for the Howard S. Wright Company. But other Richard Beyer sculptures on public display can be enjoyed in Fremont, West Seattle, and the central Seattle waterfront.
Free on the first Thursday of each month! Even on free first Thursdays, there's sometimes a separate fee for entry to a special exhibit (if one is showing).
The information posted above is correct! The Naval Reserve Armory was completed in the early 1940s. MOHAI opened its doors at this location on Dec 27, 2012.
Coming from Shoreline, the E is probably your best option
If you have a library card, you might be able to check out a museum pass. Cant remember if MOHAI is included in that.
Art loves you, Seniors have a discount on daily admissions, not membership.
I would contact the ticket office to confirm whether Boeing employees get discount on single entry tickets. MOHAI do have corporate membership deals but you need to talk to ticket office.
Same as the rest of MOHAI
