The trail is well-defined, but not particularly pleasant. Plant life is uninteresting visually. There is a portable restroom. Was a bit apprehensive at first. The trail can lead to a residential neighborhood or to parking lot of community college. It looks more like a trail was cut through wood than a forest, like in Schmitz Park. Brought my cat here, but wasn't as accessible for her than it would be for dogs. I was bitten by a lot of mosquitos.

This was a really well maintained wide trail. At first I thought that it was not often used but I was pleased to see several walkers and dog walkers. I was also pleasantly surprised by the number of birds and woodpeckers that I heard. I'll bring my son here to enjoy nature while still being close to home.

A wonderful addition to the city...please report encampments in these areas to Seattle Parks before they destroy the green zones

You can definitely enter through SSCC. This time of year I would reccomend the southern parts of this trail system as they are more developed and less muddy. Your best bet is going to be 14th and Holly or the Riverview Park parking lot at 12th and Myrtle; walk down the gravel road and across the Baseball fields. There is a trail along the college's south fenceline from Morgan Street just east of 16th. About 100 yards west of west marginal way on Highland Park way. You can enter at 15th and Brandon; at that entrance point there is a qr code you can scan that will link to a mostly accurate and current map of the trail system. Its worth noting that also accesses the north entrance to the Seattle Chinese Garden and the SSCC Arboretum. Remember to remove or hide valuables and lock your doors. Happy Hiking.
Not really. The trails on the south side of the college are mostly wide enough and smooth enough to drive a small car down. The trails on the north side of the college are not well maintained and frequently blocked by fallen trees. The trail connecting the north and south is not much good for riding but it is great practice for cyclocross racing as you spend a lot of time carrying your bike and getting on and off. If you do want to check it out I'd recommend the trails on the south side and will point out that you can throw your bike on the front of the KC Metro 131 making the ride back up a lot less strenuous.
