I cant’t imagine going any other place for my pups!!! the staff has gone above and beyond for my “pack”… having multiple dogs, “there’s always something”…. And every single pup, every single time they have needed care the staff has gone beyond my expectations…. I want my furry kids to live forever so I bring them here for the BEST CARE!!!

This place is absolutely awful. On a Wednesday, my parents brought their female dog for vomiting, diarrhea , and lethargy. They sent them home saying it was a stomach virus. Then my parents called saying she had blood in her urine, and they gave an antibiotic. Over the next few days she got progressivly worse. Saturday, they had to rush her to emergency care and she was diagnosed with pyometra. She is in very critical condition trying to recover after antibiotics and surgery. She is expected to be in the vet hospital for a total of about a week atleast. We were told it is still touch and go. Not only did this place misdiagnose her, they also told my parents they would do bloodwork and urine test and when the emergency vet called to receive it, they said they don't have a record of it. They dropped off urine for testing and heard nothing. My parents dog suffered needlessly. Very upset with this place. Update: We have yet to call Westwood vet after their response because my parents dog is still recovering at the emergency care vet. She was close to death with a burst pyometra and is slowly healing, but now dealing with a secondary infection. Once we know our sweet pup is going to come home, we will discuss this with Westwood. This has been a very difficult 2 weeks and we just hope for the best.

Recently a dear friend had to deal with her very ill 17 year-old rat terrier, and Westwood and Dr. George Cattiny were recommended to us by our much trusted professional dog sitter. It emerged that the little fellow was in a terminal state and needed to be euthanized. I cannot begin to relate how much heartache was relieved by Dr. Cattiny and by the caring and compassionate staff at Westwood. I will not hesitate to use them and to recommend them in the future to anyone who truly loves their animal companions.
