I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog of 16 years which was a truly heartbreaking experience and I feel for anyone who has to go through it , I reached out to instavet to try to create the most comfortable environment for my sweet dog in this sad time , Dr. fizze was the doctor assigned for my dogs at home euthanasia. When her and her assistant arrived they already seemed to be in a rush , her assistant was frantically opening all the supplies and I CLEARLY asked to please let us say goodbye before applying the second and final injection . Now before that , they were rushing so bad that my poor dog jumped up in pain with the first injection it seemed like they didn’t care where they were applying the injection , then after she just went for the second injection didn’t even give us any warning and that was it my dogs life was over I didn’t even get to say goodbye . After I’m histericaly crying because my best friend is gone they are literally gathering their things like their is a fire somewhere and leave . I can’t change anything now seeing as my dog is gone but for the future I would say have some more sympathy this dog meant the world to my family . If you are in such a rush don’t book with people , she had mentioned she had another location to go to and was so booked so she rushed my poor dogs death didn’t even make sure he was comfortable I’m truly heartbroken x2 and wish this on no one .

My dog was declining pretty quickly and I explored several options given that there are restrictions during the pandemic. My regular vet clinic would not let me be present during the procedure and I opted to do an in home euthanasia for my dog so he can have a peaceful passing at home. I came across InstaVet and they were willing to do the procedure in my home. You have to go through a “Care Specialist” to screen your call and concerns. My care specialist was Eli and his demeanor was not genuine - he had plenty generic trite responses “we’re here for you”, but then kept pushing for the up sale of services. If you are considering InstaVet, please review carefully and ask lots of questions about the charges. The pricing for each service is laid out on their website - in home euthanasia is separate from the addition cremation services. That I was well aware of before called InstaVet. However, what they don’t tell you is that they automatically try you to charge you the premium package (pretty much adding $100-$150 more) while you are in the process of grieving your loss. After the vet team was already on their way, I get call from Eli that the costs were over $700 and to get my credit card information. Looking back, it was clear that Eli slipped in the up sale of services I didn’t want while I was grieving. I asked for the break down of charges and Eli pretty much read them off quickly - almost impatient that I even asked. When you get the receipt, there is only one charge (no breakdown in services). You have no idea what charges were added and why. I had to insist several times to ask for the breakdown of charges. They also did not bother to spell my name or my dog’s name correctly even though I pointed it out a few times. InstaVet basically contracts the vets and the cremation services and the care specialist representative is there to handle the business side to sell and take advantage of the situation to make money. The vet (Dr. Fisse and her assistant) were fine and helped with the peaceful passing. In other circumstances I would not have used InstaVet. I was in a tough situation so I just paid to make sure my dog had a peaceful passing. If you deal with InstaVet, insist on a breakdown of charges and just know that they only want your money and do not care about your pet or grief.

2020 Update -- Justin, Dr. Morris & Sundra did a fantastic job in facilitating our move overseas with our cat, sorted out all the paperwork and made it minimal work for me. During the house health visit they had full PPE and as always they were great with our cat and also my daughter who is 4 and had 100 questions for them as usual. Highly recommend! My cat had exhibited a behavior that I was wondering about, so I emailed InstaVet for a consult -- a vet got back to me right away and answered all my questions (completely free!). My building was hosting a clinic night, so I booked an appointment. Both Dr. Fisse and her technician Sabrina were excellent -- professional, thorough and experienced. I didn't feel rushed at all, they answered all my questions and let my cat get used to them before starting anything. Not to mention the convenience of the house call! Highly recommend.

My cat of 12 suddenly and unexpectedly passed a way. I ask my husband to find a place to cremate her. He finds this place, calls, they immediately take his credit card info, and tell him they’ll be picking up between 3pm-5pm. He gets no further information. At 4 pm he calls and they tell him they are 20 minutes away. Over an hour goes by and no one answers the phone or calls back. He goes to the office and it was closed and the number they had, as you would probably assume, yeah they didn’t answer. Finally someone called him back and they said that after they got off the initial phone call they were told that they weren’t able to be on Staten Island UNTIL THE MORNING. However no one called us at all to tell us that, even when they told us they were 20 minutes away???After going through such a heavy loss this was the topping on the cake. Definitely do no recommend at all. I’d give it negative stars if I could.
