We have small dogs, but they get adopted very fast. You can check out our available dogs here and stop in our Center. http://lynchburghumane.org/animal-listing/dogs/

Yes they do
Idk for certain but I'm sure if u just stop in they'd b happy to help. I believe I saw some flyers up about this when I was just there w a website, but I don't recall what they said. To my understanding they r always in need of help and extra hands. Hope this helps.
Best thing to do is go in! They do so much for that it can be difficult to have someone available on the phones in each office to answer any questions. Furthermore, I know that their phone systems do have problems because there is so many lines I guess. Furthermore, leave a voicemail or shoot them an email and they'll be back to you!
As a general rule, unless otherwise noted such as a pet too young, all adopted pets are all caught up on vaccination and microchipped. For follow up vaccination, it is always a better idea to go to your local vet and get a regular check up along with further vaccination to better protect your pets before they get sick. They occasionally have options open to the public for specials like certain vaccinations and microchips, but for further information please call the front desk. Again, I would suggest getting a local vet and a relationship with them. Cheers!
448-0088 To be fair they stay pretty busy there at the Humane Society. The person at the front desk has to handle many tasks...
As an employee of LHS, I can tell you that we combo test (FIV, FeLV) ALL of the cats that come through our doors. We cannot put a cat in a room until it has been tested. FeLV cats can only be adopted to homes with no other cats.
They will put the cat to sleep if and when they are severely ill and it would be inhumane to keep them alive any longer. However, as it has been stated, they are a No Kill Shelter. They do not euthanize for cases of overpopulation in the shelter or when the animal is slightly ill. If you have an animal that you feel needs to be euthanized, they will encourage you to take lengths to either work with the animal or rehome them before bringing your animal to LHS.
Make an appointment, they do it by appointment only.
I'm sure they'll let you take the beagle anywhere you like as long as you come to pick them up.
You should give the humane society a call or visit in person.
Email them
Yes... They were running a discount on adoption fees in honor of Betty White when we adopted our kitten. It was not advertised though so you may have to call and ask.
The only issues it seems he has is small children. It may be best to call and get more information but that was the only thing about him!! Go get him, he's so sweet!
I'm pretty sure everywhere is looking for help right now. I know I saw a post on Facebook from them saying they were looking for help/volunteers. Go on their website or drop by never know with the way the world is today you could get hired on the spot.
Cat deals. There is also a sale on a fun T-shirt right now
The Lynchburg Humane Society does not offer pet training at this time, but I believe PetSmart currently does.
I never have asked them that. So im not sure.
Check their website for adoptable animals and if it's a lost pet they will post on their Facebook page :)
Dil you have to go there and see
I am going to assume so since Josey was released to the family's home.
Are y'all servicing safe and since I have a neighbor who needs assistance with kitty litter for her kittens do y'all give free killer free kitty litter due to the covid
I would talk to local vet. Or call the spay and neuter clinic out in Evington area.
I think they have clinics also if you go through them they have hefty discounts for animal care
Unfortunately there are always plenty of animals at the shelter but they are very well taken care of until they find their forever homes so please go check out all of the adorable and wonderful animals available for adoption 😍
OMG, you're kidding!!!!
Yes they helped me i am taking care of cat's that were dropped off they are good people
Kalyn, they often will have a random different animals. I know rabbits and a hedgehog have made their way through before. Best to call or check out their website, I'd say.
Put food in the cat carrier to get them we had to and get them fixed
Mickey? I dontk know.
Yes, their spay n neuter clinic in Evington will.
No, they will do their best to put it up for adoption. Just call them and ask for the intake office.
Yes they do. 😀
You should be able to drop them off at no cost. Be safe un your traveld.
the dogs arent picky and any donations are very appreciated.
I have a pug and Pomeranian and little doberiaian giving them away can't afford to have them any more
They always have new puppy's but most of the time they are only available for foster
They are advertising free adoption for dogs, cats, and kittens this week on Facebook.
What Calvin Unroesaid otherwise they'll have a list of rules, guidelines, and expectations including fees. Such as an Eighty-dollar ($80) cage/trap fee if you're wanting to catch/rescue/save STRAY cat's life/lives. You're allowed to keep trap a few days.
I'm not sure u need to call the lynchburg humane service I'm a volunteer
The humane society doesn't miticide dental care to privately owned pets.
It never hurts to ask. There is also Campbell County Spay and Neuter Clinic off Rt 24 in Evington/Rustburg area that could be of assistance
I work there, if someone os under 18 they have to be with a parent or guardian. They arent allowed to walk the dogs under 18 either but they can interact with some dogs
Call the humane society and ask
They will register the microchip to your name and give you paperwork that comes with it. There are more than one company That provide this service.
There is a fee associated with adoption. Not sure of the exact amount. For both dogs and cats.
It means the doge is on fleek and somebody recognized. It means that somebody liked it so they wanted to put a collar on it but if they don't you can't find that doge to the left to the left and it will be there that you can be the one who let the dog out...
A lot of times they do sales on cats for free .
Just talked with them on phone. They said, "Yes, from 11am-7pm."
