Why aren't kittens tested for FeLV prior to adoption and placed in homes where other animals are living?

As an employee of LHS, I can tell you that we combo test (FIV, FeLV) ALL of the cats that come through our doors. We cannot put a cat in a room until it has been tested. FeLV cats can only be adopted to homes with no other cats.

They don't do thetan level testing on their Scientology kittens either.

Probably cost plus they figure most people will take animals to their vet.
