There is a fee associated with adoption. Not sure of the exact amount. For both dogs and cats.
Yes but you are saving money as dog will be spay or neutered, 1st shots, 1st vet Visit, so in long run you r saving money and your money goes to help continuing the funding for this great sheltering 60's is nothing compared to the benefits you receive
Can you really put a price on a best friend that will be there for you when your boy Toni runs off because he can't get caught for public intoxication for a 5th time? I say yes, you do have to pay but it's a marginal fee considering what pet ownership entails. It's there to show that you're going to be responsible for a creature that just wants to love you because it literally depends 100% on you.
I recommend you call or visit. They can explain what the benefits the fees are covering that you would not receive if you get a puppy from a "free" puppy or the puppies for sale in a box in a parking lot... There is value in what the Humane Society does for the animals and future owners. They screen for diseases, vaccinate, and spay or neuter. If you took a free puppy to the vet to have all these things done it would cost far more than $60.
It all depends. Some dogs are sponsored and others are covered by various specials and discounts.
Depending on the animal some are sponsored where someone paid their adoption fee in hopes to find them a home.
If you call them, they can tell you the cost and steps necessary for adoption.
Yes, the fee depends on the dog's age, they also tend to run promotions quite often.
Ive seen prices be in the high 60.00's and above for adoption.
