Like ray said there are the shoals like 3 Miles up river and you can definitely take your kayak up the shoals and keep going it's a little tricky tho but I've done it plenty of times mainly bc the ride back down the shoals is really fun

Wanting advice on fishing for catfish in the river off of the bank. What is the best time to go what is the best bait to use fish on bottom or with corks and were is the best place to fish my Nephew is dying to catch some catfish Thanks for the help

More catfish below the dam in Pelzer than up around the ramp. And definitely use chicken liver or cut up bream on the bottom. At night is best time for catfish.
