On friday October 21 I was hit from behind in my vehicle on Patton ave. I took a good pop and was having physical pain. My head felt like it got thrown back and forth more than once and felt pain and pressure on both sides of my spine as if it were pulling away from spine on both sides. We pulled into the alpha environment parking lot. The person who hit me had a badge on his belt area. I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t know what kind of badge it was but it was a state vehicle. The fire and police talked like they knew him. When the fire department arrived the person got out of his vehicle saw the badge and immediately shut me down saying we aren’t going to do anything for you nobody is going to do anything for you. I was refused medical help and ended up driving myself for medical treatment. Whiplash and back problem as well as headaches. Completely unprofessional

From my understanding when a first responder from the fire department is being dispatched they should make their way to their call. And the NC law states to move over. Which I was trying to do. Today while on Patton Avenue, I could not “move to the right” because other vehicles were not moving over so I made my way to median so that I could get out of this mans way to respond to the call he then proceeds to stay behind me in his Ford responder truck, lights and sirens on; so instead of holding up traffic i move back into the road trying to find somewhere else I can pull off safely. I am seven months pregnant and I am not going to push into other cars and risk myself and my unborn child’s life when this man could have gotten around my vehicle initially to proceed to his call. Then once I am able to move to the right SAFELY he proceeds to pull up beside me and motion for me to roll my windows down so he can yell at me for not moving right. When I had no option to move right safely, right away. I have lost my respect for the Asheville fire department because this man NEGLECTED to continue on to his call to possibly save someone so he could lecture me in the middle of Patton avenue during lunch hour traffic!

They made my daughter's day with a tour of their station. She'll never forget it!

Where did the spark go flying into? Well, I would say that if you are fine now two hours later, you should be good to go.
