I had an amazing hike with Bev! Wonderful experience for a solo female traveler. Bev was so much fun, encouraging, and empowering. I’m recovering from a back injury, and she helped me a lot with a hiking pole lesson on the fly. She’s super knowledgeable about the area and gave me a lot of great tips for the rest of my trip. And she just so happens to be an amazing iPhone photographer - I’ve never been so surprisingly flattered by candid shots 😂. We did a half day hike, and I can’t wait to come back, drag some friends along, and try an overnight backpacking trip with her. Highly recommend.

My experience with Blue Ridge Hiking Company has been wonderful from the very beginning. They helped me select a trip that was the best fit for my skill level and needs. I ended up testing positive for Covid a few days before my trip was scheduled but they kindly rescheduled me with no questions asked. My trip included an overnight stay at the “Trail-er” bunkhouse. The bunkhouse is a cozy manufactured home that is conveniently nestled in the town of Hot Springs. It has everything a weary hiker would want or need. Comfortable bedding and furniture, a fully appointed kitchen and gorgeous, newly renovated bathrooms. Our Gear shakedown before leaving for our hike was fun and informative. It was like going on a shopping trip for food and equipment. The gear provided was top-of-the-line and worked flawlessly. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area we were hiking in and the wildlife surrounding us. We all felt completely confident with her at the helm, guiding us through the rugged terrain and even past black bears along the way! I came to Blue Ridge Hiking Company, hoping to answer these questions: Is backpacking some thing I’m interested in doing? What kind of equipment configuration would be best for me? What are the etiquette guidelines for making camp and sharing the wilderness with fellow hikers? Beginners and experienced hikers alike will benefit from one of their guided trips. All of my questions and many more were answered by our gracious guide and I now have a new passion for backpacking. I feel like my investment in this trip will pay dividends, as I am now better equipped to purchase the essentials for backpacking. Plus, I had an extraordinary, experience that I will never forget! Thank you Tamera and Blue Ridge Hiking Company!

We took a team trip to Asheville and went on a great half day hike with Mel and Lauren! They were organized, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We had a beautiful and refreshing day of hiking and saw some amazing waterfalls!

Why are you demanding a google email when I don’t have one

I'm so sorry you had this issue! I've passed this along to the third party booking platform you were trying to use. You can book a trip on our website (blueridgehikingco.com) using any email address.

We are planning a 550 mike hike in winter. I have a question for Jennifer or the women in this community. How do you women handle peeing in the night? Are these SheWees devices necessary or do you just get

I would not think a she wee is necessary. Just bring a light so you can see where you pee and thats it.

I don't see gear on the website store. What type of gear does your Asheville store carry?

We specialize in lightweight and ultralight hiking and backpacking gear from cottage industry brands and local gear builders. This includes brands like Gossamer Gear, Six Moon Designs, ULA, Lightheart Gear, Western Mountaineering, SOTO, Toaks, Astral, Farm to Feet, and more! We also sell some pretty cool gifts made by local artisans, inspired by their own time on the trail. Plus, a small kids selection of outdoor-themed toys.

The picture of the store front has a young lady pointing to the sign. Do you sell that jacket in your store?
