It was fine. I actually got the room for my grandson in VA who is homeless. He said everything was fine. Room was clean. He was just glad to have a roof over his head, a bed to sleep in and a shower. He is a good guy but his father is a loser and put him on the streets.

I think they should do some repairs. The staff is excellent and will go above and beyond to make sure of your comfort. They will also assist in finding restaurants and activities. I was pretty impressed with the staff in comparison with other hotels I use regularly.

Positive: The general manager was very kind. We had a situation with our room about 3wks ago and when we returned we were upgraded to a beautiful king-size suite. I thought that was so good of him and the hotel.

My husband and I were highly impressed with this hotel! The highlight was Gloria at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make our stay special and gave us recommendations on where to go in Staunton. The view is great and it’s worth getting a suite with a mountain view! We were there when it was snowing and sat in the window and enjoyed the view and the snow coming down. We did feel like our bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could have been, but maybe we just caught them on an off day. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations at this price point. The breakfast, while nothing spectacular, is included and we were thankful they were even offering a warm breakfast, since a lot of hotels these days offer only light snacks because of Covid. They even put warm chocolate cookies out at 8pm every night! Thank you Gloria for being so welcoming and friendly to us! You made our weekend getaway special! We will definitely be back!
