All I needed to do was get a duplicate drivers license. I showed up on a Friday at 4:55 and was told that I was too late and that I needed to get there by 4:45. I worked hard to get back today (Monday) and the same guy was standing by the door saying that it was exactly 4:45. My watch said 4:44. He showed complete inflexibility in his inability to try and help. If they close at 4:45 then they should lock the front doors at that time! I’m not impressed.

I usually dread going to the MVD, but my experience here was actually pleasant. I made an appointment at 10:20am to get a new driver's license, and went right to the "appointment" lanes. I arrived earlier than my appointment and I stood in line for about 5-10 minutes, but other than that, they took me almost immediately before my scheduled appointment. I was in and out within about 20 minutes total after giving them all of my new address information AND taking a new photo. The representative I had was kind and conversational, and actually made the experience enjoyable. I'd recommend coming here!

It was very frustrating. All I went to do was get my licence reinstated and it turned into a trip in hell on a carpet...Most of the agents need to get more training in the customer relations dept. Because they are really lacking in the"social skills" section if you know what I mean. I really don't want to have to deal with those people until its time to renew my license and I am not sure I wanna do it then.

This was the best experience I've ever had at MVD. We had an appointment time, and even though we had multiple tasks to complete, were out in 45 minutes. The employees, were polite, helpful and friendly.

A lot of things. Something displaying your citizenship, some kind of old picture or state ID, social security card or something that displays your SS number such as a tax document, 2 forms of address verification like bills or insurance paperwork. https://www.flytucson.com/articles/mvd-urges-arizonans-to-consider-getting-voluntary-travel-i-d/
Yes. State and drivers license.
Identification card, social security card.

No, that cannot be done online. You must visit an MVD office to change your name on your driver license or ID card. An appointment is required. Please call 602-712-2700 to make an appointment. Your name must be changed with the Social Security Administration before visiting an MVD office.
