Sure! There's a rope and buoys that shows the edge of the swim area so it's not like you'll float away. There isn't a lifeguard but there's a park ranger in the building. I suppose you could call and ask to be sure but, it's not the ocean; It's safe.

I have been camping here for two weeks now and at the camp ground people have been swimming at the camping part and paddle boating. The day use area may be closed but the little beach in the camp ground is open.

Well u gotta get a map of pinchot...there's 2 different areas of cabins. One is by the main office of pinchot. Kinda hard to explain . Just either ask a park ranger or go to the main office and grab a map

Two cars are OK as long as both fit on the parking pad. There is normally a $5 charge for a 2nd car pass, but this year we weren't asked to pay.

If camping, you are permitted two cars. However, depending on where your site is located and the number of campers in the campground, you may need to park the second car in the lot by the camping area entrance.

It's a state park and they have a lot of different things you can do as far as the cost of the different things to do. You can call the park by Googling the number but I do know that it doesn't cost anything to get in or to park. If you go there you will love it and want to come back again.my wife and are grandchildren and my self we all love it and my wife and I are handycap.

There is no pool at Pinchot. There is a public swimming area at the Quaker Race day use area and a nice beach in the campground for campers. The swimming areas, according to the park guide, are open late May to mid September. Both swimming areas are ADA accessible.

I'm not sure of the fees but the only things you have to pay for are kayak, canoe and rowboat rental, cabins or campground and concessions. There are no white water rapids within the boundaries of the park.

Reserve a pavilion for a 'family gathering'. Don't mention a 'wedding'. Some parks frown on that. Pinchot is a pretty place with different locations around the lake. Take a drive around all parts of it if you haven't yet. Good luck!

I do not fish, they do not stock the lake, and I wouldn't eat anything I caught there. My dogs have gotten skin issues from swimming in the lake.

Pinchot does not have pontoon boat rentals, in fact I've never seen a pontoon boat on the lake! They rent- row boats, canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, paddle boards, and paddle BIKEs, which look like fun! Also on the conewago side, they have, bikes for trail use, and disc golf (frisbees)

Yes, you can use worms. They work well when fishing for sunfish (blue gills, sunnys, crappie, etc). There are a lot of weeds, so casting can be a problem.
