Place is terrible, multiple times I’ve visited and people from other rooms screaming for the nurse with no response for 15 mins +. They do not care at all. If you’re thinking of putting a family member here, you’d be better off leaving them for dead. I know this sounds harsh and couldn’t believe what I was being told until I witnessed it for myself. My father was taking to the ER and nobody contacted us to let us know. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Only bright side of this place is the Dialysis center and the help there.

Yes. It was called that when it was owned by the county. It seems like every county in PA used to have a county owned nursing home. Over the decades they have all been sold to private companies. I don't know when Dauphin Manor/Spring Creek was sold but it was before 2011. I used to go there through an agency in 2011 and the residents would tell me it was better before the county sold it. It was already Spring Creek by then but there were still people there who had been there under the county. By now I don't think there is anyone left who remembers. I know about 3 or 4 years ago when Pleasant Acres in York was finally sold by York county it had been one of the last 2 or 3 county owned homes remaining in PA. There might not be any by now.

My mother is there, and they are testing the residencies and themselves daily and my mother is still covid free
