Perfectly safe. No one is allowed in the concourse without a boarding pass. Even the outer parts of the airport, smoking and pet areas, are heavily patrolled, and I've never seen the slightest crime (except for smoking outside the designated smoking area or having 6oz bottles in the carryon) in probably a couple hundred hours of sitting and sleeping in CMH at all hours. The same for other airports, even ATL, DTW which are in terrible areas. I doubt any criminal is going to try for any place so full of security, restricted access, etc.

The shuttles pick you up in the parking lot and take you to the terminal

Different for each airline regarding weight (i.e. 50lb limit for SW & 40lb for Allegiant, 2 carry ons for SW & only 1 for Allegiant unless you pay extra). For getting through security, you have to put all liquids on a 1 quart size baggy and take out of your bag, and no liquids over 3 oz. Meaning you'll have to throw your expensive perfume away if it's over 3oz. You can, however, pack it in your bag(s) that you check in to go underneath the plane. Go to the airline's website for detailed info.

Follow the main drive ti the terminal. Before you get to the terminal theres a light where you can turn left to cross iver to the other side if the loop. You'll turn by the McDonald's. Fillow the loop a short distance and the lot is on your left. There are signs. Worst case, go around the loop again if you miss itm

There are several. Short-term parking right at the terminal. Several remote lots for longer-term parking. Short-term eares are highest.

When I lost my car keys they also suggested calling the TSA. It's separate from the airport lost and found. Neither had them.

Yes, as you're driving into the airport campus, follow signs for drop offs/ departures. Once you get to the building, there will be a yellow sign for each of the airlines. Just keep driving and pull over when you see the airline you want.

If u want to pick up at door there is a "cell phone" area you can park at until they get there. It is on the right side as you drive into airport. Look for sign. If you want to go in just follow signs for parking.

Yes. I have stayed overnight at the airport. I had reached a day prior around 7 pm for my next meeting flight. They don't let you stay inside the checkpoint. You can stay near the airline counters or in the baggage pickup area. The staff come in by 4-5 am and then you can begin your security checkin. The airport is safe but I would still be careful with my bags.

Yes there is a long term and short term lot that attaches to the airport. It's a large concrete parking deck. It's convenient but costs more than the shuttle lots.

We love to park in the cell phone lot which is free, and wait for our friend or loved one to phone or text when they get to baggage claim. Then you can just pull up curbside to pick them up without paying to park in short term parking.
