When we moved to a new house (same town), we scheduled a service call a week in advance for the day we moved in for the service to be set up at the new location. This was Sept 2020 so my wife and I were both working virtually. Waited hours for the tech to show up, but never did. Finally, after 9pm, 3 phone calls to Optimum later (after the set time frame had come and gone each time), we were told they weren't coming and would have to reschedule for another week out. Told them that was unacceptable, they had missed the appointment so they would have to come out next day, but they said there was no way they could get to us any earlier than a week out. Called Verizon, they were there the next day - double the internet speed for lower price. Cancelled Optimum immediately, never going back. Edit based on owner response: Now you're concerned? But not when you were trying to leave me with no internet for a week. Maybe take the overwhelming number of 1-star reviews as a sign and close up shop.

This place will accept your equipment give you a receipt and 2 months later charge a card on file after account is closed for equipment not being returned. Optimum your hardware is trash, no one wants to keep this. Straight stealing from peoples pockets.

Someone moved into a house in the next town that happens to have the same street name and number. Since then my internet was turned off for a month and I am now on month 2 without cable. 6 phone calls and 3 trips to the Optimum store and still not resolved but they have created 3 accounts with different spellings of my name. Promises that a manager will contact me and still waiting. I have wasted at least 12 hours trying to resolve this. Ridiculous company.

I just moved. I recieved a new different box and remote then what I had. they look the same, remote is smaller. service the same, but I increasingly understand cord cutter philosophy. new box helps though

You will have to program the remotes for the new TV. The code will have to be gotten from the website at optimum and it depends on what type of remotes you have whether it's the new altice remote the black replacement infrared remote or the silver legacy remotes.go to optimum.net and type of searching for program my remote and it should give you links to what you need.
