Super nice and attentive staff and very clean, but the room was very cramped. Rooftop was fun to hang out on

Decent hotel in a good location, reasonably priced. Very satisfied with the cleanliness and appearance of my room, especially my bed. However, when I went to put down the bath mat, it was already soaking wet which did not give me much confidence in the cleanliness of my towels. I did not sleep a wink. I'm not even a light sleeper. The AC right next to me was alternating between off and full blast, waking me up each time, and I couldn't figure out how to change the settings. The person in the next room coughed his lungs out the entire night, and it was so loud I may as well have been in the same bed as him. When we got down to breakfast, there was a croissant and 2 muffins, some cereals, and hot coffee. Nice to offer it, but go elsewhere for more substantial food.

If I divide the amount of the bill by the number of nights, the room comes to €260 per night. For the services, it is expensive to pay. One night when we got home, our room had not been made. there is a lot of noise from the street, as if the window was open, because of the air conditioner and the day it lets pass. On Saturday evening, there are people in the restaurants below. Then the next room which we had a door in common and we heard everything. Not quiet, clean, just what is needed but very disappointing. The worst, the breakfast. Shelf-stable croissant just to choke you, coffee and orange juice. very disappointing . no room so it's in the hotel lobby and there are 7 or 8 places, so we wait or we go elsewhere!

The best thing about the hotel are the front desk attendants (very helpful and friendly) and the location. The hotel itself is clean, but not up-kept. There are definitely big visible stains on all the carpets (in hallway and in room). The rooftop was blah... the fence was so high that all you can really see is the sky, not the area around the hotel. Breakfast was included but really basic (plain croissant and muffins and bad coffee), I went out for breakfast after the first day. For the price in the area it makes sense, I'd stay again because of the people working there. Last thing, when getting a taxi to the airport which they have a button for through the taxi company so it arrives right away, I asked the front desk what the flat rate was to JFK was and was told $52. The taxi driver charged me $68 flat rate. So I don't know why the discrepancy but someone needs to update the info or the taxi drivers are scamming people if that is the negotiated rate with the hotel. I wanted to let the hotel know but they don't have an email address available on their website and I'm not the calling to complain type. It sucks though.

The breakfast is very limited to fruit, croissants and similar pastries, juice and coffee. At least when I visited in March.
