Arrived around 6pm. Had to wait for a while to check in because the hotel was understaffed. The desk clerk was literally running to cover everything. He apologized saying he was the only one there. Felt bad for him - he was very nice. Get an upstairs room. Otherwise it will sound like a herd of elephants is above. Overall the soundproofing is bad, and we could clearly hear the TV, conversation and water from upstairs and the room next door. So no sleep for us until everyone else decided it was bedtime (midnight). Also, the beds were tilted so the foot was higher than the head. Weird. No restaurants within walking distance, breakfast was typical - nothing special.

This location is only two blocks away from Slocum. Incredibly easy. The location is very clean and we did not have any kind of problems with people hanging around or sleeping in the bushes like some of the other places have a little bit closer into the college. The rooms were very nice and comfortable except that the beds were a little too soft for me and the pillows were a little bit cheap for the pricey room rate. I was scheduled for surgery and it made it extremely easy to just pop over to Slocum get checked in and complete my one-day surgery day!

My stays have always been pretty nice here. The 24/7 gym and hot tub are hard to beat. It's nice but not overly fancy. The prices are about what I would expect.

Great location, I added a photo of the park across the river because from the front you have an amazing view of it, and it's so convenient you can just walk right over and explore. My room had a stove and dishwasher. The only complaint I have is the breakfast, it's the same at most hotels that offer it, but it would be nice to have some fruit or something healthy. Room 315 is also right next to the elevator and ice machine so if you don't sleep well it's not a good choice, people had no common courtesy even at midnight. Overall I was very happy with my stay and the customer service was excellent. I'd stay again.
