The Riverbend Hotel And Cabins

Location was GREAT! A very short walk to downtown. We parked our car and walked everywhere. (No charge for parking). Staff were super nice and helpful. The hotel is an older building but it has had some updates. We really liked sitting by the water and watching the people tubing. I would suggest bringing lawn chairs. They have swings and they are nice but I wish I had taken my lawn chairs. They have some picnic tables and we ate leftover pizza outside one night by the water. That was nice. I don’t know if all refrigerators are as cold as ours was but it was super cold. We took some watermelon and it kind of froze. We had some “blue ice” packs and they froze in the fridge. So adjust the temp in the fridge if you don’t need what you have in there to freeze (if you’re in room 114).

The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful especially Joyce. From the minute we showed up until we left they were amazing. We went over the 4th of July so we knew we were gonna pay more. The motel is perfectly located, right in the heart of everything yet it's a few hundred feet down from Main St at the end of the road giving much privacy. It's right on the Chattahoochee and you can sit outside and watch the tubers go by. The complimentary continental breakfast had many choices. As we walked down Main Street during our stay I saw all the other available motels/hotels and because of location mainly and Joyce's service, I wouldn't choose another place to stay other than Riverbend. As with all motels/hotels in a tourist location, avoid holidays for lower prices. You will not be disappointed choosing Riverbend!

Cute and great location but NOT what is shown or pictures or what's in the list of items in room for a Family Cabin. There was only 1 single SMALL couch in the family cabin, not a sofa, love seat and chair like photos show. There is only 1 shower so it is NOT 2 full bathrooms, it's a 1 1/2 bath and the only shower is downstairs. It does NOT have bunks. It has a full daybed down stairs, then a King and queen in the same room upstairs so 1 of our kids had to sleep upstairs. We called as soon as we got in the room and saw it was not how pictures of the listing shows and was just told "oh I'm sorry, there are no others available and theyre all that way". We had ants coming in from the kitchen outlet. There were cob webs around all the windows, broken curtains as well. There is pink bacteria in the shower grout which indicates shower is not being cleaned properly. However they did put vinyl plank so it doesn't have the ugly carpet like in the photos. It does have a great view. But they definitely need to update the listing with correct photos, correct beds, and correct number of actual baths. And needs better cleaning!

We checked in last minute on a whim. Had a very nice, clean room in the hotel. Staff was nice & the scenery was beautiful. Super close to town so you can walk everywhere. We will be back! Think we have found our new favorite spot!
