Overall, it was a nice stay. The room was beautiful and I had an amazing view. I do think this hotel needs to get rid of the additional $20 per night to use the amenities (pool, etc). At these rates, there’s literally no need for that. Just add it into the nightly rate. I also wasn’t impressed with the service by the pool - again, we have to pay extra money to enjoy it but the service was pretty spotty. Why have someone come around and give out pool bar menus, then disappear? Also the location, while great for the view, wasn’t close to much. Great stay, but overall I think it’s overpriced considering the service was pretty minimal. I’d maybe stay again if I got a good deal while in town, but I wouldn’t seek it out.

The location has an industrial feel and decor. Unfortunately, we never had the chance to enjoy the restaurant, bar or pool area as there was a private event during our stay. The bed is large, and comfy (at least I thought so). A very nice large shower, with your usual basic amenities were available. Towels were basic too. I can't say that I thought the rugs in the room were totally clean. I seemed to have brought some dirt/hair from my feet into the shower. So, that could have been better. The furniture in the room was very basic and low grade. It looked like it came from a 90's university dorm room. Would I stay again? Yes.

So... my stay at Canvas Hotel was a lucky accident. I got the last room at the last minute and it turns out it was the best room with the best views (512 for your booking pleasure). First the hotel is in an historic landmark building (1910 Sears building) in Dallas so it has this exquisite industrial Brooklyn loft-style feel. Think Ace hotel LA or NY but with southern hospitality. Big warm welcome, fun, inviting lobby with sofas and pool tables and incredibly high ceilings letting in tons of light. My beagle Gigi was warmly welcomed all over the hotel. The service was pre pandemic "it's all about you vibe" and the food was delicious. But the high water mark was the roof top bar and view of Dallas. Incredible, like no other in Dallas and with more personality and no Highland Park attitude If you are in Dallas, don't go downtown, go to the Canvas Hotel and just chill out. You have the best view of the city. But I gave this hotel 5 stars not only for the views and food, but because of the people who work. That says something. Thank you.

Fun atmosphere, and great food. The rooms are unique and different. We sat at the rooftop bar and enjoyed a beautiful day. They pool seemed nice, though we did not get in. The bed is not the best, but it is still good. I get the feeling that this can be a pretty loud place, so this may not be for you if you are looking for a quiet retreat. For our purposes we really enjoyed it.

NO! They're not some cheap skanky motel. No jacuzzis, no mirrors on the ceilings. Try RedBird Inn.
I work in the kitchen so don't take my word for it but you can always call the front desk and ask.
Absolutely. Really relaxed up there for family to.
Drink prices are ridiculously high... This place is pretty snobish.
Yeah absolutely just make sure u got your ID cuz they will card you. The view is amazing and the place makes u feel like your a rockstar!!
If i recall correctly they do not have room service. They have an excellent restaurant/bar in the lobby, probably the best rooftop bar in Dallas, and two steps across the parking lot are a few excellent places to eat.
