We have been here a couple times. We hold a reciprocal membership so it is a discount to get in for us. There is so much for all ages to do and the facility seems well taken care of. It is set up like a town with a construction site, bank, post office, grocery store, city transit bus, auto mechanic and more. You can direct a news cast and ride on a motorcycle. There's also a younger kids area that's fenced off which is nice. If you're in the area and want to spend 1 hr or more here, it's a perfect entertainment spot for kids.

Admission for adults and children is $11 per person.
A few tables downstairs for folks who bring a picnic type lunch. One can spend a few hours hers, so break up the time with a little picnic, then resume learning through play.
They have 2 parking structures that I know of. The one behind the museum was 8 bucks and then you get $2 off for visiting the museum. You can take an elevator to get to the floor you want. The other one is a bank owned might be cheaper but its across the street.

Park in the O'Donnell Park structure on the corner of Michigan and Lincoln Memorial. You can have parking validated at the museum to get a discount. The parking structure is connected by an elevator.
