In response to people saying the adoption should cost less... that's absurd. They should cost more and you should be willing to donate 2x that yearly if you actually care about the animals. The shelters and county programs are doing their best with a fuxck ton of volunteers and private donations. In all actuality they are losing money on their adoptions. They are doing their best FFS! What's an extra 20-40 dollars for a best friend that's going to love you all their lifetime.

Love the animals!

We are battling a pit bull from our neighbors they allow him to run loos, I am disabled and receive delivered food and prescriptions I am afraid to go to the porch. They delivered meals to me yesterday and he came on my porch drug them out into the yard and destroyed them.... I've had it with this dog. This is strike 3 for him he almost attacked my daughter from behind too......
The Arc is very clean and the people are very polite and caringi t's not the people working there that are the problem , the problem is all the backyard breeders especially of pitbulls presently, I've also in my lifetime seen it be chows , German shepherds andvDoberman Pinschers that were over bred and along with backyardvbreeding comes dogs that are inbred and have mental and physical issues. I wish a law would go into effect that unless you're breeding pedigree and or registered dogs for the standard of the breed that you are fine and or jailed and it's nothing against the mixed breed dogs out there I think they're the sweetest thing in the world but as long as dogs are being killed in the shelter there should be a law against the breeding
Please find a good, safe home for your pet. They dont do well as a surrender.
Goddard's Law, House Bill 60 was passed in April 2017. It is now a felony to neglect, abuse dogs in Ohio. You can call the Montgomery County police for a welfare check on the dogs. Montgomery County also has Tethering Laws. Look them up under City Ordinances. You can also file a complaint with the Humane Society in Dayton. You can file complaints anonymously. If you think a animal is being neglected, abused, or is in danger, complain, and keep complaining.
Thanks All 😊 I did take pictures of the dog in the pin ..and the house and I have the address and owners name .
I was told they only do that for animals purchased from their shelter on the phone.
I don't know if this facility contains cats. We only saw about fifteen dogs waiting for adoption. Two of the kennels has green adopted tags on them with one of the new parents being briefed in the lobby. You might want to try PetSmart on Troy Pike in Huber Heights. They always have cats for adoption when we go to purchase our dogs food, toys, and snacks.
I can imagine it must hurt you to see your baby in pain and not enjoying life as he once did, not to mention that he can no longer love on you. Consider letting him go to doggie heaven. God Bless You
You go to there website and it will show the dogs
Call humane society on Nicholas road Dayton Ohio
Sisca may take them. That dog is already stressed, be careful surrending to ARC as they are still a kill shelter.
Omg thats horrible. That poor little puppy. God watch over him or her
The fee for dogs not spayed or neutered is $24. The spayed/neutered dog license fee is $20
No
They refresh the adoption page regularly at the top of the adoption page you can select "display" then click the biggest number and it will show all dogs currently available.
No they do not have a cat facility any longer they're asking that you take cats to either the Humane Society or SICSA
You have to call your local city trash, they will come out for dead animal removal, if it's alive you have to Google a local wildlife rehabilitation center. Arrowhead Reptile and wildlife may do it. If not the know your local person to call. Animal control will tell you to live trap it and it must me let go local
I am not sure.
I paid $20. But I think after February 1st I think they go up to 25. Depending on what county your in.
Suggest you call and ask them. With all the COVID...nothing os the same and subject to change at any time
They have specials sometimes, so be sure to check their Facebook and website. Dogs 6 months and older – $95 Dogs 5 months and younger – $120 Adoption prices include spay/neuter and vaccinations.
No
You have to go and pay to get the dog out
Call the animal center
They only take cats and dogs, as far as I'm aware.
They do put animals down!there are very few true no kill shelters
Depends on the reason & condition - they'll release asap; inquire directly about the specific issues
Personally, I'd file a police report about the attack & have the officers address your concerns.
Yes they do.
I would follow their facebook page and watch for adoption specials.
They have to be tagged ,and we had to take ours to a vet so they could say he needed to be put to down. And it cost 40 dollars
Yes you can
Dixie veterinary. They have reasonable prices and will work with you. They are located in Butler Township right before you go into Vandalia. I used them quite a few times.
Emergency vet. If payment is keeping you from them they will work with you on a plan.
Am not sure. We bought ours in Lebanon and it was reasonable. I believe it was $65 which included them fixing the dog. You can go check it out and if you don't find what you want you can go to Lebanon like we did. The place in Lebanon is 22,000 square feet so we had ample room to find the dog we wanted.
Jeff, I had someone tie up two dogs to my fence a year ago. Called the non-emergency number. Their words were, "What do you want us to do? Call the dog catcher".
Do you hire at 14
Yes. They take old blankets and towels too.
Don't know. You will need to call them.
Is the dog properly licensed for this year?
I believe I saw a post that said that but I would call and double check
Go to petharbor.com (I think that's the website)
Call them or Sicsa or the Humane Society. If u do not have q phonebook or cell phone to look the numbers up, call 411 for information on yur house phone or have someone call to get the numbers for u.
I was told they only euthanize the very sick or animals that are deemed unadoptable according to certain tests they do.
Check with rescues
I've never heard of puggles, but I'm pretty sure they don't have them here because I'm a regular visitor and most likely would've heard of them by now.
If the dog has bitten anyone within 14 days, it's remains will have to be sent to the county to do rabies testing. This is a state law. If you wait the 14 days, it is your animal and your decision. There are many trainers and behaviorists in the community that may be able to help. Consider exploring options before euthanasia.
It depends on the size of the animal. Cost of euthanasia solution is measured according to amount used, the larger the animal, the greater dose needed. 😟
They range from $150 down to $20 depending on the need or if they are overcrowded or are having an adopt a thon. Prices are always lower then.
They always tell me to come look.have you tried the neighborhood app for missing dogs in your neighborhood
sisca maybe closer to where you found him.
There is never a fee to bring in a stray dog
I don't think they do. That you will need a Vet.
Don't know if they just do spayings if the dog is not a shelter dog. I also think SICSA in Kettering does them for a lower cost than a regular vet.
Yes.
Call them. I dont know there policues
I heard there's a place in Dayton that won't put them to sleep and will work with ailing animals
Sometimes they have specials on them and also there's an agency in Dayton... like the humane society... that may do it cheaper... but I don't know the exact price of
I don't see a question here but, if you feel the pups are being neglected, I know they're almost always looking for volunteers and are usually short handed. Perhaps you might be interested.
Not usually. It's not a pet store that has designer breeds.
They wont take cats unless u pay 60 each. Kinda messed up. But thats there policy
We charge an impound fee of $30 for the first impound, $50 for the second impound and $75 for the third impound. In addition to impound charges, we also charge $15 a day for boarding. I just looked at the website and found the above information for you.
You have to call animal control.
You have to go to ARC to see them to adopt and also do meet and greets etc. You cant just walk in and walk out with a new pet. When you adopt you do a meet and greet, then they have to be spayed or neutered which can also take a week. It's a process to make sure neglected and abused animals go to a good home.
I think its 60.00 call them and they can give you the answer your looking for
There is a Facebook group that helps reunite lost dogs with their owners.
You can also check with SISCA
You can go online as well in most counties. The fee for dogs not spayed or neutered is $24. The spayed/neutered dog license fee is $20.
No. Name and address. They can look up the old one.
If they have the room for the cats, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton may be able to help. They are a no-kill shelter. Phone number is 268-7387.
Dog food is donated by citizens so sometimes there is food inside the front door and sometimes there isn't any.
Road department
If you go to the ARC or the Humane Society, you'll be asked to fill out paperwork and they will either approve or deny your application. If approved, they will help you decide the best dog for your situation. Don't be discouraged if they deny you at first. They just want to make sure that the animals go to forever homes and not come back repeatedly. Also, there will be a fee involved. Im not sure how much for a dog. Their website has more information.
Ty I am do u know how much tags are n to get a lost pet back.. N what bout shots? :how much required to take her home if I need shots n tags
