I hear dogs barking all day from a house down the street. obviously they are out in this horrible weather. Is there someone I should call to report this to or should I just mind my own business?

Goddard's Law, House Bill 60 was passed in April 2017. It is now a felony to neglect, abuse dogs in Ohio. You can call the Montgomery County police for a welfare check on the dogs. Montgomery County also has Tethering Laws. Look them up under City Ordinances. You can also file a complaint with the Humane Society in Dayton. You can file complaints anonymously. If you think a animal is being neglected, abused, or is in danger, complain, and keep complaining.

Whoa whoa,whoa, Just because you hear some dogs barking there could be anything going on I live on a corner and I have 4 dogs and they atte indoor dogs. But also right around my house are about 5 houses that have a dog and at night you hear barking all the time and sometimes crying and that's not even my dogs doing it. So oh sure they can get a little rambunctious sometimes and play too rough sounding like their dog fighting, and sometimes the girl fights the boys lol. But it doesn't last long. I guess my whole point is you have no idea what's going on. If you suspect foul play, or have even witnessed it better still. Call the Humane society to investigate. If you have witnessed, call the police already. But if you're just guessing, because it gets on your nerves, get out of the window nosy Rosie, and MYOB. 😉

Well I guess if it was me I would go down and investigate myself before I think about doing anything you realize they have a lot of dogs and if they just leave two or three dogs out for a few minutes for exercise you may hear it all day long so again I suggest let you go investigated for you don't think just because you can hear them barking from your house that they are being mistreated they also need exercise so again I suggest you go down and investigate it for yourself and if your opinion is they're being neglected then make a telephone call
