WONDERFUL and UNIQUE accommodations that was everything we had hoped for. Me and the family truly enjoyed our stay. The employees were also just as unique as the accommodations and I mean that in the best way possible. They were all (Angie, Kale, and Christopher) very helpful in their recommendations and overall pleasant demeanors; not to mention they were available practically any time you needed them. The resort even had a food truck on site which prepared delicious food (only for brunch as far as I know) which was worth every penny. We definitely will stay their again, probably within the next month or so just because we enjoyed it that much! I highly recommend staying here, especially if you're looking for something a little less traditional than your typical hotel/motel...

I loved this place! My husband and I stayed in a safari tent in October and I will warn you, it gets SO COLD at night. The beds have a heated mattress pad on them and that helps but it’s still pretty chilly. I would totally do it again though! I loved the atmosphere of the entire grounds. It was truly magical! The food truck vendor was also really good, I had burger. They also had a little happy hour with good margaritas.

Our stay at El Cosmico was wonderful and we will definitely be coming back again!! We stayed in a teepee that was somehow huge inside and also super cozy. The bed was comfortable and bedding clean. They leave robes for you to wear to the outdoor showers. Hot showers under the stars. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Someone spent a lot of time setting this place up to be wonderful. I loved showering under the stars, and was happy to see the water I used was recycled onto trees so it didn't go to waste. However... despite all the bright colors and cheerful art, I did not feel welcome. An email unceremoniously directed me to check in online, then said I should receive a text when my room was ready. I wandered around town for a couple hours waiting for a text which never came. The receptionist acted put off by my arrival and did not return my smile. Fellow guests around the property seemed annoyed and unsociable, despite the festival/hostel-like communal setting. The vibes were weird. My safari tent, which I paid dearly for, had not been cleaned. The prior guest's trash was still all over the floor. As others have noted, the site is next to a highway and train tracks so it is not quiet at night. On a positive note, it was nice to see the gardeners raking by hand rather than using noisy power tools. The heated mattress was very cozy and I appreciated the lampshade which had been hand crafted from a recycled soda bottle. The radios in the tent were also a nice touch. Recycling and compost bins need to be added next to the trash cans.

Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap kept in all open bath showers.
No.
We were there a few weeks ago and we brought our own cooler and drinks.
No, they don't have a place for campers. They have a self camping area but it's for tents only.
No, in the parking lot but you can set up your tent very close to the lot.
No, Marfa is out in the middle of nowhere, and doesn't have much around it. You can fly into El Paso and take transportation from there, but its pricey because of the distance. Best bet is to rent a car. You can walk or rent bikes in town.
Easy and nice. Have access to same showers and toilets plus ranch house. Tent space is in center area. No power or anything. Parking is about 75 yards from tent area. Self camping here is great.
