Top quality work, very professional. Has always done a good job for me. I have been bringing my boots here for the last 20 years.

I only gave this place one star because it wouldn't let me give less than one star. Do not take your shoes here. You risk not getting them back, not being able to reach the owner and the shop is never open during the hours of operation that are posted in the window. This place was recommended to us by Dynamic Dancewear, who sends all their customers there to have their taps nailed onto their clogging shoes. I called him on a Wednesday and his phone rang busy all day. Wednesday afternoon I went to the shop, a sign in the window said the hours were 9:30-5:30, however the door was locked and no one was there. The next day I called and his phone rang but no one ever picked up. I went over there on my lunch break and he was finally there. However, he said he did not take credit cards or check, only cash and wanted me to pay him that day for work he had not even started, let alone completed yet. I told him I did not have cash and he said, "well there are ATM's around here". I told him that I was on my lunch break and didn't have enough time to go ATM, bring him the money and make it back to work on time. He said , "ok, bring me the money on Monday and they'll be ready on Tuesday". I asked how much cash I needed to bring and he said $12.97. On Monday of the following week, my husband called to make sure he was in before going to pay. The owner answered, asked when he would be coming, my husband told him he takes lunch at 11 and the man said, "Come on, I'll be here till 11:30". My husband got there at 11:15 and the shop was locked even though the owner said he'd be there till 11:30. There was a note on the door saying he would return at 12 so my husband returned to the shop at 5:11, the very same day and the door was still locked with the same note on the door. Today, Tuesday-the day the shoes were supposed to be ready, my husband called to make sure he was there so he could pay him and pick up the shoes. The phone rang but no one would answer. He went to the shop at 10:30, the owner was there but the shoes were not done and the owner told him it was because he had never been paid. My husband told him he had called yesterday and had tried coming by to pay but that he(the owner) had left before he could get there, even though he said he would wait. The owner said, "well the I guess I don't have time to work on your shoes for you," and told my husband to get out of his shop. Really? All for $12.97? He kept the shoes for almost an entire week and never worked on them because we did not pay him the measly $12.97 he had asked for. However, we did try to pay him but he was never open during the hours his shop had posted, he never called us or answered his phone and even when he told us to come and pay him, he closed the shop so that we couldn't, then proceeded to be rude to us as if the situation were our fault. The shoes were $85 before tax, so there was no way that we would have allowed him to do the work and then not have picked them up over 12 dollars and 97 cents. Plus, our daughter needed them for a workshop next week! It just doesn't make sense. He is the absolute worst business man I have ever encountered.
