They force people to wear or buy a safety vest for $10 from them to dump the trash there, otherwise they are not allowed to dump.

Place is absolute trash, no pun intended. This is the second Monday in a row that they don't accept contractor dumping for some reason. They have it posted that there is contractor dumping between 2 and 4pm. Update your website or something so that I don't drive 35 miles just to get denied dumping. The place is also abysmal for offloading due to all the nails and scraps that do not get cleaned off. I have gone through probably 10-15 tires in the last year and a half dumping here. The prices used to be the most affordable here for contractor dumping but currently they charge 85.00 for a ton which is on par or more than most places even in Chicago. Aside from the two guys who work in the office, one with a beard and the other who works in the right side office, the ticket collector who processes payments absolutely dislikes everybody who comes in there and absolutely makes everything more complicated than it has to be. Used to be a better place to dump I would save your money and go dump literally anywhere else.

Yes you can

Most cities have at least one hazardous waste center where you can dispose of old gas. You just need to find one, which you can do by visiting a site like Earth911 and putting in your zip code.
Only on Saturdays
Yes, but there are concrete recycling places that will be cheaper or free
Yes. It is a $20 minimum charge
Yes you can!, of course everytime you go they scale your weight and you pay for, I work in construction and have to do a multiple trips in one day because the garbage does not fit in one trip.
try 159 Hastings Buffalo Grove
No medical waste
Can't "promise" anything, but I'm certain that they would accept them as "garbage". Unfortunately there is a minimum of (if I recall properly) $17.50, and the requirement of a credit card, so you may want to consider finding ALL items that you are going to want to rid yourself of, as the weight of the bulbs is nothing, and $18 is a considerable amount of weight in trash. It is however possible that the bulbs would be acceptable on electronic Saturday's, until 11, and that is free to the local community with ID.
That's a good question. I can tell you that when I had called about electronic's disposal for a friend that they asked me where I lived, to confirm that my home address was in their "district", but I don't honestly recall if they checked my ID at drop off. My disposal company isn't Groot, but hers is. But in all fairness, they may have recognized the truck I was in, as a regular customer? If it's not a difficult load, may be worth trying? The electronic recycling is on Saturday Mornings. If they turn you down, maybe you could visit ABT Electronic's, around the corner off Milwaukee Ave just North of Central, and have them dispose of the item?
Open the cap that the paint get hard and then throw it in the garbage can
There's a $19 minimum I think, and it depends upon what exactly it is. Brush and branches under 4" is one price per weight, limbs over 4" are more, as it's considered garbage and not "yard waste". The larger stuff I want to say was around $70 for something like 1,5oo pounds? In all honesty, I don't remember exactly what the numbers were, but they were something like that? Oh, and credit cards only accepted!
Electronic drop off will be closed Feb 2
No close at 1200
Certainly can! Whatever you want to use, of course unloading is going to be a bit labor intensive.... so that translates to time spent. I'd have to recommend having a dust mask, to limit inhaling the debris dust. Whatever you load up gets weighed on the way in, on the back side of the building (south east) then you dump in an overhead building that is essentially only a rain protection as it is opened so often that is basically the same temperature as outside, then you drive out and around to the front, where you wait on the scale for your weight ticket, make a super sharp left back into the front of the building (south west) to go in and pay. I'd advise bringing a competent laborer along.
Occasionally they have a chemical roundup where they accept paints and such. You'd have to check their calendar for such dates, but I believe they're primarily in the spring, for like spring cleaning... But they most likely have links for further away locations that may possibly be year round acceptors of similar "chemicals"? It's been a while since I dug for that exact type of info. But I'd imagine that you can find it in a matter of 5-10 clicking back and forth on their site. That info is in there.
I'm not sure if it's every Saturday or if it's only special events. It would certainly be well explained and worth the time to check the website. I've never taken that type of load, for me it's always been construction, yard, or furnishings debris.
Depends on what you are trying to do. For electronic recycle please visit swancc.org the list and info is on there.
Cant' shred them, you can throw them away there.
Yes they do only on saturdays from 9am to 1130am
Ive seen them on the ground there but I doubt if you showed up with like 200lbs of clothes they would take it. Worth a shot tho.
If I am not mistaken there is a minimum charge no matter the load.
