The representative I spoke to was awesome! Very polite and helpful. Only waited for about two minutes which is excellent. Answered all my questions and was very professional. Well done!

Condescending. I went to pay taxes and instead of getting a receipt, they told me it was going to be around 15 minutes to process the payment. However, they were just chatting about football. I was the only one there. I believe it was the supervisor that came and started explaining (like I was stupid) how I shorted the IDR their money. I just wanted to pay my taxes and leave, never simple with Illinois government. It was a small error that I wanted to rectify.

They need to take a math class. Can't get simple tax numbers correct. Why do we pay these incompetent people.

Spoke with Andrew over the phone, asking about how I can receive my IL-PIN. He was extremely condescending and unprofessional, unwilling to help, and had absolutely no relevant information regarding the filing and information management process. He should not be in any capacity that requires him to speak to people -- I have never received "customer service" from any public facing office as horrible as my experience with Andrew.

You put the pension federal taxable amount as a positive number on your Illinois return under "Subtractions from Income" on Step 3 Line 5 of the Illinois return. Remember to add in any amount of your Social Security that is Taxable on your Federal Return. You can get the directions for Il-1040 on the Illinois department of revenue website.
