You're in the rugged yet accessible Bighorn Mountains...what's not to love?

Great campground and the bathroom are open, clean, and were well maintained. In fact for rudimentary bathrooms (outhouse type) they were some of the best I have used. The campground is a nice fairly quiet spot, although everyone with a camper (including us) had a generator that they used for short time periods. The nights were nice and quiet though. The campsites are all large, but not every site would accommodate a camper. We were in site 6 and out 18ft camper fit okay. I love the fact that all the sites are open in the back to the forest. It gave you almost unlimited camping space. The fire rings were great, and with just a little bit of searching there is lots of dead wood in the forest. It is cold at 9000 ft, especially at night, and it sprinkled / rained all three days we were there,m. We also had some nice weather too. Come prepared for the cold though. The Cloud Peak Wilderness trail system takes off from this lake, so there are some great day hikes in the area as well.

Great campground, unfortunately the bathrooms were closed.

Deerhaven lodge, by the turnoff to west tensleep off the highway, would probably have showers but they might only be for customers. Might be worth checking out.
