So many beautiful gems and minerals! Also a lot of info about mining downstairs, though I ran out of time to read it all. There's also a geological trail nearby with dinosaur tracks you should check out while you're here.

It's free so stay as little or as long as you like. Last time I took my 11 y.o. he was so into it we spent 2 hrs. And this is after probably 5 or 6 visits!
They are now open. You must reserve a free time slot for your visit. We had a great time there last week!
Mines Geology Museum Hours: Monday - Saturday: 9A to 4p Sunday: 1P to 4p

If I remember correctly most of the static displays of tools were 19th century and later not 18th century.
They close at 4pm daily!
Admission is free - donations are welcomed in donation box at entrance.
