Very cool little place... We just visited friends that were staying there, but it has a nice atmosphere and the birds are fun to see .

Clean showers and bathrooms. Just a short walk or bike ride to the beach. Price is comparable to other places on Sanibel but this is nicer.

Great campground with spacious sites. It’s a short walk to the beach. Sanibel is best seen by bike using the 26 miles of shared use path. The staff here is very helpful and cheerful - shoutout to Nicki on that front.

We came into Perwinkle on April 9th for the week as we stay here at least 3-4 times a year. Let me tell you the person to get things done is Liz she is the most accommodating and helpful person. We decided to see if we could extend our week for an xtra 3 days went to the office to see if she could do anything for us and low and behold an hour later she called us and said we were all set. Wonderful girl and again very accommodating thx Liz Holly

Questions & Answers

what is the cost

If you are asking about seeing the birds, it's free. Just check in at the gate and tell them you want to see the bird habit. If you are asking about the campsites, it was about $50/night in April.. That might vary.

Service animals are allowed. Management does have the right to the following: Ask the Owner what services does the animal perform for its owner. Manager can make the Service Animal (SA) leave for excessive noise, urinating and defecation in public places, for owners not picking up or cleaning up and disposing of properly, and for bad behavior of SA OR the people it is with. SA must be in close control of its Owner at all times and may never be unaccompanied. For more info see adaDOTgov and the Service Animal/ESA section.
