Honestly the best bakery I have ever been to. Everything here is amazing its hard to decide what to buy. The cookies, danish, pastries, cake are all amazing. My family from Ohio comes to visit us and when they do, they always insist on a visit to Jarosch.

Thanks for the many years of support, Dee! Unfortunately all shipping was stopped last year and is unlikely to resume in the near future. We hope you have a friend who can fill in as a “delivery driver” to bring you goodies.
I think you mean what is called a "flop cake" and yes they do. I need to try one of theirs. Northlake had a Moser's bakery years ago that made the best. Nobody has ever duplicated theirs after the passing of the owners.
Hi Marlene! We need a little more information before we are able to answer your question sufficiently. If you call 847-437-1234 then our phone staff can discuss it with you and they would definitely be able to help with any additional questions you may have. Thank you so much!
Thanks for asking. We do not have any gluten free products because we have flour flying all over the place in the production area. If you cannot tolerate even the tiniest amount of flour/gluten, then you should not buy any of our products. But, if you are choosing to avoid gluten, we do make a few products without any flour - our mini cheesecakes topped with strawberries come to mind. We have a chocolate mousse pastry for Christmas that also has no flour in it. Our whipped cream pies have a pie crust, but if you don't eat the crust, the rest of the pie has no flour. Please call for details.
Janice, we are looking for help in the store to wait on customers. We are also looking for an experienced cake decorator. As Kate Seger suggested, please call the bakery. Ask for one of the managers. Thanks for the question. Ken
Thanks for the inquiry. In addition to masks, gloves, & social distancing, you can read a detailed explanation of them on the homepage of our website: https://www.jaroschbakery.com/
Well some people call our Almond Sweet Rolls either “almond crescents” or “bear claws,” but if you’re looking for almond crescent cookies, we do not make any almond flavored cookies at all.
I've been getting cakes and bakery goods here for 25 years. I got my wedding cake here and just got my daughter's college send off cake in September. Best paczkis in Chicago!!!
Mary, we can create a wide variety of cakes and decorations. "Rainbow Cake" can have many definitions. Please CALL 847-437-1234 to talk with our staff.
We are closed on Sundays because 1) we go to church, 2) we need at least one day off, 3) we are not located in a neighborhood setting with plenty of foot traffic on a Sunday with people passing by on their way to and from church, and 4) if we were open on Sundays, we would then likely close on Mondays like many other (but not all) bakeries, but our town is adjacent to an industrial/business park to the east and surrounded by office buildings to the north and west of our location to whom we sell many products on Mondays.
We make a Tiramisu torte and periodically Tiramisu cake slices (check our monthly features). We also make a mini pastry (special order) of Tiramisu Cake Squares. I think all of them are delicious. Are the "real" tiramisu? No, they're a cake version, but still very tasty.
We do not make a pistachio coffeecake - but it sounds good!
Thanks for contacting us. We cook our custard from scratch with eggs, milk, sugar, corn starch, etc. It cools and sets up fairly thick. We then blend it with whipped up whipped cream to create a "Bavarian Cream." We simply call it "custard," but, as you can see, it is much more. We use this for our eclairs, custard bismarks, cake fillings, and as the base for our banana whipped cream pies and tarts. The chocolate icing is the same as our donut icing, a blend of fondant (sugar) and fudge base (cocoa, vegetable oils and corn syrup). We dip the eclairs and bismarks into the warmed up icing to coat them. There is certainly more than a thin glaze on them, but not an excessive amount - maybe 1/16th of an inch. We feel it is just right. It dries to the touch, but remains soft to eat. The eclairs and bismarks must be kept refrigerated. They are delicious.
We do not have vegan options at the moment but we may look at them for the future.
Your best bet would be to call them and find out how busy they are
