Great decor, cool old building, staff was helpful. Stayed in a cosy room and it was super small. Wish there were more shelves or places to keep things in the bathroom. Location is very convenient for shopping and walking around downtown. Lots of food trucks and restaurants in the area. The restaurant on the roof is very popular and has an awesome view. Check it out even if you aren't staying for a full meal. This is a Hilton hotel and they are really doing interesting things with boutique hotel trend.

I don't know how to say they're doing great with the situation. Good hotel with an adequate amount of security (very friendly guys). Great rooftop bar / restaurant. That said, don't stay here if you have kids, or a nice car (definitely not a truck as the parking lots are near impossible to fit in), or take issue with the open drug scene surrounding it. Seriously, without turning this in to a rant, I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here and it has nothing to do with the hotel.

We stayed on a Friday night in February of 2022. When we arrived, the neighborhood surrounding the hotel had all of their windows boarded up and was covered in graffiti and tents were visible everywhere. When we asked if our car was safe to leave in the parking lot and if it was safe to walk to our dinner reservation that night the friendly lady at the front desk told us to stick to the main road and avoid any other streets surrounding the hotel. Our room overlooked homeless tents and a Chevron that was completely boarded up. Immediately outside of the hotel we had to cross the road to avoid quite a few homeless individuals who were mentally unstable and behaving aggressively (we had a lady who was yelling obscenities at us come chase us off the sidewalk swinging her heavy luggage at us). That night when we returned to our room at about 8:00p.m. we heard loud music playing but didn't think too much of it (loud enough you could recognize the song and sing along with it). I finally went down at midnight as the music was still going and I couldn't sleep because it was so loud. I was told there was a bar nearby and that it would quiet down at 2:00 a.m. The friendly gentleman offered me earplugs and to switch rooms but nothing was available that would get us away from the music. I tried the earplugs and a pillow over my head but that didn't help. At 2:00 a.m. the music did stop and then it started again at 3:00 a.m. I didn't get to sleep until 4:30 a.m. The staff were friendly and the hotel itself is beautiful which is why I gave it 2 stars. Maybe if you are not going to leave your hotel room during your stay and can sleep no matter what, this hotel could be for you. However this was my husband's and my first night away in 6 years after having kids so to say we were disappointed is an understatement. I understand a hotel cannot control the outside surrounding environment and I am completely sympathetic to the hardships that the homeless population face but I'm not sure who would want to spend that much money to overlook tents, graffiti, boarded up buildings, and be unable to sleep all night.

I rarely leave reviews but this was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous and the room was clean and well decorated. The bathroom was big and well lit. The shower was very nice and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were surprisingly great quality. The reception area is very nice with plenty charging ports and couches. They also provide carbon neutral bottled water which I just think is so cool. The price is amazing compared to other hotels in the area. Overall a great experience and I would recommend this to anyone staying in downtown Portland! I seriously could not love this place more.

They def do!
The concierge are great for tips. Irving Street Kitchen is a nice place for food. Blue Star doughnuts are way better than voodoo doughnuts, it will make sense when you are there. As for walking around there are a lot of homeless people in the area, they gave us no reason for concern but maybe be mindful of their presence. Hoxton has amazing mexican food, but there is an indoor market close to the hotel you will find has good wine, beer and food. If you are driving there is a covered parkade 2 blocks up (pink building) that has good rates.
There is no parking at the hotel. I am pretty sure there's public parking nearby.
Don't know sorry. I'm not sure if it's open yet.
