Runner: This was Great trail running on a wet and muddy day. Beware that there are motor dirt bikes, horses and mt bikers on the main trail and they do leave a bit of a mark but there are several side trails for those on foot only. I didn’t go up the mountain far because the trail was not runner friendly and didn’t want to climb but if you like that kind of thing it does take you several miles to the top and I understand you can drop down the other side, steeper, and take the logging roads back if you want a long run/ride

Great trails for an easy hike or mountain bike ride. Recent thinning/logging has made some trails more open, but generally woodsy and twisting trails. Lots of up and down, but no major elevation and no views other than the forest and occasional beaver pond.

There's been a bit of clear cutting (logging) done in this area so you have the dichotomy of the unsightly cut down areas vs the clearing for the beautiful views of the mountain ranges all around. The trail itself was clear, albeit a little muddy when we went. Helped a lot to have walking sticks.

I so absolutely adore how close and how long this hike it 😊 it is definitely designed for bikers but it is also fun on foot😊❤️.
