Dr. Schwartz removed my pituitary adenoma in 2/22. I am from the Philadelphia area and had gone to for 1st and 2nd opinions at the large medical centers in Philly who claim to specialize in this medical condition. I was so petrified, and concerned about everything that could go wrong if the tumor grew too large and became inoperable, and just the success and safety of this intricate procedure when it was performed. I felt unsettled. I continued researching for the neurosurgeon I would be comfortable with. It took 15 minutes into our initial consultation and we agreed to go ahead. One month later my surgery was performed. This was several months since my last MRI with contrast. So I didn't know what was the current size or shape of tumor. A pre-op MRI was done just before the surgery, but I didn't find out just where the tumor had morphed until the morning after the surgery, when Dr. Schwartz appeared at my bedside with a huge smile on his face. It seems that the tumor thankfully was benign, as previously thought, but was wrapped 180 degrees around my left carotid artery, was pressing on my optic chiasm, was pushing my pituitary stalk to the left, and was causing remodeling of my sella turcica as it outgrew it's space! The good news Dr. Schwartz shared: he removed the entire tumor, and it appeared no structures in the area were affected. That has been confirmed by post op MRI, and countless blood tests. Best outcome possible. Exactly what I prayed for. He is truly gifted. I highly recommend Dr. Theodore Schwartz.

Dr. Schwartz and his staff treated me kindness and respect. While I am not looking forward to surgery, I feel very confident that I will receive the best care.
