I wish I could volunteer here daily. The staff is awesome. You can tell they are really proud of their work and the impact it is making on humanity. If you haven't volunteered here, it is a must do! Warehouse food sorting, gardening or cooking, plus they have a mobile food pantry.

Fantastic place doing fantastic things. I drop bulk donations off semi-frequently and the staff is always quick to get it processed. They make sure I'm in and out and all paperwork is always in order. Awesome place and I'm extremely happy I get to help them on their mission!

Once a month
Yes, they also have boxed foods for diabetics.
The metropolis location doesn't distribute at that location . It is where the food stored, processed, and sorted. You can contact them about their partnering agencies who do the distribution or their mobile pantry locations where food is distributed.
Im not really sure I am a temp. We won't open again until Monday. I can't ask until then
A: We accept contactless food donations during our regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. All food donations are received in the back of our building (look for the “Delivery Entrance” sign off of Burleson) via a donation bin on Dock 8. Please plan to drop off donations in that location before or after your shift, as it is not accessible once you are in the building.
While the food bank typically has (on-hand) a type of sliced turkey meat and other kinds of processed staple meats, it is my understanding that their supply of mainstream meat depends largely on corporate donors (e.g., HEB, WM, etc.) and varies tremendously.
Frozen foods are accepted; however, I believe, they're only received from commercial entities (e.g., HEB, Sam's, etc.)
No. You can check the Facebook page or website for distribution times and locations if your in need of food.
Yes that's right it's only a storage and a delivery so they don't have the groceries to give out you have to go through the mobile pantries or the pantries that are in your area
You can visit the Central Texas Food Bank during business hrs 8am-5pm at 6500 Metropolis Dr and they can help you apply for snap.
Your best answers for questions is to call Central Texas Food Bank directly for details.
I think she has to make an appointment and she has to go to 2 different locations 1st one is to register and the next one is next door and she can walk up there but then she has to carry back just register using ur mom name and u give her name or phone number of the person ur helping
I think they are are pretty overwhelmed during the pandemic so unless it's a very large donation or something they especially need, it's really better if you can drop it by for them. Quite a long drive for most of us, unfortunately.
Can't answer that question.I am a volunteer

There is the garden, warehouse (which is sorting and inspecting foods), kitchen which is mainly helping with packing foods but sometimes involves cooking, and then admin. Depending on group size and ages, some are better than others. For example, kitchen volunteers have to be at least 13 or 15, while warehouse is definitely younger. If it's a very large group and you don't want to split up, the warehouse has a larger capacity.
they have agencies through which they supply food and groceries to. Give them a call to get more information about where to get food
