Was charged a late cancellation fee of $15.00 I developed laryngitis and was sick, I had no knowledge or awareness of the late fee charge. I went in to my appt and was surprised to find out I owed an additional $15.00. I mean for the first time cancellation based on actually being sick I would expect some sort of understanding or at the very least communication immediately on the cancellation fee. Disappointed

Edited review, 2022: Unfortunately I have to change my review. I referred a friend and client to this place and she was told she had to either be vaccinated or wear a mask to be seen. Neither of these options are aligned with current CDC guidelines or current scientific data. Furthermore, any “holistic” healthcare providers that require masks or the jab are not truly holistic— they’re exploiting a niche. If you find a “holistic” provider (midwife, chiro, acupuncture, etc) who doesn’t trust in the body’s ability to maintain health without synthetic petrochemical-laden drugs (or plastic face coverings that restrict air flow), RUN. They are frauds who don’t believe in their own methodologies. It saddens me to see this place is so completely out of alignment. I’m sure there will be people who don’t mind these policies (or even welcome them), because they, too, are operating on conflicting belief systems. But for those of you who are aware and who maintain a holistic view of health that has not been warped by political propaganda, I thought I’d leave a little warning here. Previous review, 2016: I think this place is the greatest! I would not be able to afford regular acupuncture if it weren't for this place. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and calming. The acupuncturists I have seen are very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this establishment.

Had a wonderful first time experience here with Sara. I came into the clinic because of chronic tennis elbow. Sara was very kind and answered all of my questions. The room where the acupuncture is done is very relaxed and calming with a lot of recliners, low light and soothing music. When it came time to put the needles in she was gentle and I barely felt any pain. This place works on a sliding scale and is very affordable! Definitely check it out if you are experiencing chronic pain! I already feel much better after just one session. Will definitely be back for more sessions. Thank you South Austin Community Accupunture, you are a true gift to the community!

Loose comfortable clothes. Shorts are fine. As are flip flops. Anything to allow the practitioner to be able to reach your direct skin for needles or cupping. Don't forget to schedule online.
