My son had neuro surgery in Lubbock after a work related accident. The surgery was a complete failure. After five months I researched and found Dr. Douglas Fox and his second surgery was performed in July of 2021. I could not believe how quickly he not only recovered but the surgery was a success. Dr. Fox did not have much to work with when my son got to his office. I cannot tell you how many people I have referred to Dr. Fox. He is an excellent surgeon and he has an excellent staff.

We highly recommend NeuroTexas and in particular Dr. Fox and his staff. Although we had a wait a couple of months for an appointment, it was well worth it. Six months ago, Dr. Fox performed a revision multilevel lumbar fusion on my husband who previously had 3 other lumbar surgeries. Other surgeons we interviewed did not have the expertise that Dr. Fox did. He was kind, patient, and answered all of our questions as well as identifying another medical issue and providing an excellent referral. Post-surgery, Dulce, his assistant was quick to respond to any and all concerns and questions. We live in San Antonio, but traveled to Austin to have the surgery and were also happy with the hospital their group uses for surgeries.

I underwent major surgery on my neck two weeks ago (ACDF). It had to be done because of years of unrelenting pain, stenosis and pinched nerves. The numbness and tingling in my arms and hands was progressing quickly. I was terrified about having to face this surgery. Terrified. Dr. Fox is one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever encountered. He allayed my fears by patiently answering all of my many questions in clear and concise terms so that I could make the best informed decision. I can't believe I'm doing this well just two-weeks post-op. The sharp pain I had to the right, lateral area of my neck for almost a decade is GONE. Praise the Lord! Though I am experiencing pain (obviously to be expected following surgery), it is of a different quality --just surgical pain and muscle cramping, which is part of the healing /recovery process. Dr. Fox and his PA were compassionate in adjusting my pain medications for better pain control. Orders were put in quickly. Dr. Fox's physician assistant, Austin PA-C, is an excellent clinician who truly cares for his patients also. They both visited me in the hospital when I had to go back for pain control. I am a nurse practitioner, am quite discerning, and have high expectations for medical professionals. Dr. Fox and his team are world-class. Additionally, the nurses, anesthesiologist, and CRNA at Baylor Scott and White were all outstanding in their kind and respectful approach before and after the operation. Totally at the top of their game. I will forever be grateful. Dr. Fox's surgical skills are absolutely amazing. I have a new lease on life.

I'm having serious pain issues in my thoracic spine. After a very bad fall 1 1/2 years ago, landing on my back, I have 3 herniated & 3 bulging discs & a fractured vertebrae in my thoracic spine. I have to keep my body as straight as possible when sitting or walking or I have severe pain in my thoracic area. This pain just started a few days ago. I have DDD & have had 5 lumbar & 3 cervical fusions. Is there any way you can help me? Surgery is the last thing I want, but I know how serious thoracic injuries can be. Thank you.
I requested help for my current condition not to give an opinion of my previous dr!
